- 1 year ago Do you like Marvel characters? Boy howdy, there are a ton of them in LEGO Marvel's Avengers! Courtesy of IGN Wiki, below you'll find a list of every character in the game (in the order they appear on the character selection screen), how to unlock them, and how much they cost. Please note, several of the character tokens share the same space on the character selection grid. Characters marked as "Story Mode" in the "How to Unlock" column are automatically added to the roster as you play through the game in Story Mode (although you may still have to shell out some Studs to play as them). There are also characters you can purchase as DLC. For some reason, the Hulkbuster armor is not available on the main Character Select screen. Instead, you have to select it from Tony Stark's Iron Man Suit Select screen pictured below. Once you've unlocked the Hulkbuster (simply complete Anger Management in Story Mode), switch to Tony Stark or any Iron Man suit and pull up the Character Select screen.
The below will pop up instead. That's where you'll find the Hulkbuster armor. Marvel Super Heroes: What The?! Not only does this make me want to buy up all the Guardians of the Galaxy LEGO I can get my hands on and start making weird videos on my iPhone (which would be infinitely worse than the gem Whaley and Willets have put together), but this makes me want to watch a totally LEGO-fied Guardians, as for some reason when something is in LEGO it just gets a little bit more awesome. In fact you could say (or sing) ‘everything is awesome’ (sorry, I couldn’t help myself). The skill and patience that Forrest Whaley and Sean Willets put into creating this must have been immense, and serious kudos to the pair of them, as it is spectacular.
Below are 11 movies that I would love to see recreated in LEGO (I have left out the obvious ones that would definitely rule, mainly because we already know how cool they would be as they currently make very entertaining LEGO games – So there will be no Batman, Star Wars or Harry Potter on my list): The leaked footage has made me a little Deadpool crazy and seeing him demolish bad guys into bricks with his katana’s would be awesome. 2. The Grand Budapest Hotel Wes Anderson managed to rock stop animation to the fullest with The Fantastic Mr Fox and I think that The Grand Budapest Hotel would have even more quirky style and humour in LEGO. Especially, after seeing how awesome the hotel looks built out of LEGO. Ripley LEGO and a badass alien queen in all its LEGO glory. I am curious as to how the horror would translate with so much cute. 4. Silver Linings Playbook Watching a LEGO Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper argue and dance and get all dark and twisty in LEGO would be hilarious.
5. The Hunger Games Talking of Jennifer Lawrence, how cool would it be to see her flexing her hunter skills and turning Tributes into mountains of bricks. Also an Effie Trinket LEGO figure would be gloriously weird. Kevin Spacey having a mid-life crisis in LEGO – Yes! Violence, humour, crazy monologues and a LEGO John Travolta getting his dance on. Because even a Patrick Bateman made out of LEGO can appreciate a good business card and a transparent raincoat. What’s in the box Kevin? Seriously, what is in the box? Even more creepy and killer in LEGO. Still stylised, ultra-violent and stunning, but instead of splashes of red it will be showers of red bricks. 11. Kill Bill Vol 1 Not to keep mining Quentin Tarantino’s movies, but I am going to have to add in Kill Bill as I think it would lend itself very well to LEGO. I would love to see the big fight go down between The Bride and O-Ren Ishii. I am thinking that the effects of a Hattori Hanzo sword would still be pretty spectacular in LEGO.
2017 looks to be a big year for Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” space-adventure franchise. Besides the much-anticipated live-action sequel to the hit 2014 movie directed by James Gunn and the controversial new theme park attraction currently under construction at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, by this spring toy store shelves should be lined with copious amounts of Guardians of the Galaxy merchandise. This week Lego revealed three news sets in its Marvel Super Heroes line designed to tie-in with the upcoming release of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”. Pictured below are set #76018, The Milano vs. The Abilisk, set 76080, Ayesha’s Revenge, and set 76079, Ravager Attack, each featuring a unique Lego build and cool minifigures representing characters from the movie. “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” hits theaters nationwide on Friday, May 5th from Marvel Studios and Disney.
