BOOK CLUBS IS NOW THE Please Select a Format:Friends on an all-new adventure in this adorable 8x8 storybook--a new format for LEGO Friends!Friends are going riding at Sunshine Ranch. But Andrea's horse, Freckles, doesn't seem to like her.

Can Andrea figure out a way to win over Freckles so she can go riding with her friends? No doubt our April Fools newsletter may have briefly baffled a few folks. It was our way to have a little lighthearted fun with the myriad forms that yoga has taken. Since yoga has came to the West, an already multifaceted tradition unfolded still more manifestations. New schools, new fusions, new tools, new approaches, and new insights. Some developments, like the dramatic growth of women practicing yoga, are an undeniable good. There is a rich variety in the styles and approaches that a yogi can choose from. Different styles may be best suited for a person at different stages in their life. There have been interesting fusions of yoga with Tai Chi, partner yoga, acro-yoga, paddleboard yoga – things we haven’t done at Feathered Pipe, but that look interesting. There are a few that seem a tad bit silly, (Jedi Yoga anyone?), and some I just plain don’t get. One Truth, Many Paths and Smiles Along the Way

There is value to many paths, many approaches – and not just in yoga. Keeping one’s heart and mind open to different styles can deepen the understanding of and appreciation of your own path. We know that yoga can enhance life through a keener awareness of our bodies, our minds, our hearts, our selves, and the world community. We know that this serious business of waking up to our true nature can often be a whole lot of fun along the way! Lighthearted fun fused with yoga is practically the dictionary definition of Dr. Baxter Bell, who’s offering another nourishing and relaxing week of his healing style of Hatha yoga at the Ranch together with the delightful nutritionist/Ayurvedic health educator, Melina Meza. This program – as well as Baxter’s “Across the Universe” India tour (28 November – is nearly full, so if you’re interested in either of these programs, now is the time to sign up. 40th Anniversary Celebration Week Shaping Up! So while LEGO Yoga will not be part of the 40th celebrations – though the big LEGO will be roaming somewhere around the Ranch if you want to play with it – some really great events for the celebration week of 28 June through 2 July are on deck:

We have had a wonderful, warm, and longstanding relationship with the Drum Brothers and the Marsolek family that comprise its core. Matthew and Patrick Marsolek worked as staff at the Ranch when I did many years ago. In fact, they first brought me to the Ranch and got me on staff! Patrick began the Drum Brothers when he started to use the old redwood hot tub to soak and shape the frames of hoop drums. Several of their early performances as a musical group were at evening circles at the Ranch. Since those early days, the Drum Brothers have gone through many incarnations as a musical group, music educators, workshop leaders and a drum making business. Brother Patrick has since served two terms on the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Father Dave and other brother Michael have long been friends of the Pipe as well. We are super excited to be having them back to mark this milestone with us. Looking for a Home for a Treasure? You Can Help our Auction! We are putting out the call for auction items to be used for fundraising for the 40th.

Do you have some really cool stuff you picked up in your adventures that really doesn’t fit your life, but is too cool to give away to just anyone? Are you an artist with a piece you’re willing to donate to help the Foundation? It might be exactly what we need. or call 406-442-8196 and we can work out any details. We are less than nine weeks away from the start of our summer season; please don’t miss the opportunity to be part of the continuing story of the very special place that’s played such a pioneering role in cultivating the spirit of yoga and conscious living in the West.
