Value of 8038-1: The Battle of Endor Most recent new and used values of 8038-1: The Battle of Endor8038 The Battle of Endor was a set released in 2009 as part of the Classic Star Wars line, representing the battle on the forest moon of Endor in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. Featuring 890 pieces, it was authentically detailed, with one of the few Star Wars buildings ever made. 8038 was released in August 2009, under the Star Wars theme, under the Classic Star Wars line and the LEGO Star Wars 10th Anniversary Line. in the UK in May 2011. It could be said that this set is an update of all the sets that were released representation the Battle of Endor. All the models in this set besides the shield bunker are redesigned versions of previously-made sets. The AT-ST was redesigned with narrow legs and a concave head more accurate to its appearance in the film. The shield bunker itself features pop-off armour panels and sliding blast doors.

The set also includes an Ewok glider with handles, an Ewok catapult that can launch "rocks", a scout trooper's sleek, redesigned speeder bike, and 12 unique and/or rare minifigures. The Battle of Endor began when the Rebel Alliance discovered that a shield generator was placed on the forest moon of Endor. The shield generator was protecting the Death Star II, the Rebel Alliance's next target. If the Death Star II could be destroyed, the Alliance would finally defeat the Empire. The Rebel Alliance sent a group of soldiers, including General Han Solo, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, and several Rebel Commandos, to the planet to destroy the shield generator. The Rebels and the Ewoks, the moon's native species, soon joined forces and attacked the Imperial shield bunker.
