A beautician lost her right ear and was left with smoke pouring from her skin after her jilted ex-boyfriend arranged for her to be 'horrifically disfigured' in an acid attack which took place in Lowestoft, a court has heardProsecutor Andrew Jackson told Ipswich Crown Court that, months before the attack, Riley had hatched a plan to have his girlfriend stabbed in the face. Not content with the injuries he had already caused, he later orchestrated for his 39-year-old co-defendant Leon Thompson to hurl acid attack over his victim, the court was told.Riley, whom Miss Bellis dated for around seven years, also posted a revenge porn sex video on Facebook in a bid to cause 'complete and utter shame and humiliation'.Mr Jackson added: 'After their relationship ended, Mr Riley became consumed with jealousy at the prospect of her becoming involved with another man. He decided to control her by disfiguring her.'The prosecution alleged that Riley organised for a balaclava-clad Thompson to attack Miss Bellis in the street on April 29.Wanting to add to her existing facial scarring, Riley then sought to hire somebody to carry out the acid attack.

'When these attempts to control her did not have the desired influence, he decided to go even further and exact revenge in the worst possible way,' Mr Jackson said.He added that Miss Bellis had worked on cruise ships and as a beautician and was 'proud of her appearance and looks'. Adele Bellis, 22, was left permanently scarred and partially-bald after being covered in sulphuric acid as she waited at a bus stop (pictured) in Suffolk in August last yearShe has since undergone several operations for skin grafts and facial reconstruction surgery which is likely to continue throughout her life. The court heard how Riley offered one drug addict, John Green, £2,000 to attack Miss Bellis but he refused when he realised what was involved.Eventually another man, Jason Harrison, who owed Riley money, agreed to do it. Jurors were told Harrison has already admitted his part in the conspiracy. Mr Jackson told the court how Miss Bellis and Riley had been in an on-off relationship for between six and seven years.

Miss Bellis also told how the relationship was abusive and Riley regularly forced her to have sex in cars in public places, jurors heard. Ipswich Crown Court (pictured) heard how the attack was the culmination of six-month campaign of abuse by her former partner Anthony Riley, 26, whom she had dated for seven years. The trial continues The court heard how Riley subjected Miss Bellis to a campaign of harassment and abuse, including death threats, after she ended their relationship in March. After she went to his flat to finish with him, Riley allegedly became violent and locked her inside for four hours. In a video interview given by Miss Bellis to police last September, which was shown to the court, she told how she feared Riley would stab her.Wearing a bandage wrapped around her head, she said: 'He was just getting my face and yelling at me.'He just got my face and pushed it against the wall and he just punched me. I thought he was going to stab me.'  Mr Jackson said it was clear Miss Bellis did not want to be in a relationship with him but that Riley was 'consumed by jealousy'.

But the court heard Riley continued see other women, even fathering one child. He told police he was with another woman on the night of the acid attack. On the night when Miss Bellis was stabbed in the face, the court was told how Riley allegedly asked her to meet him, before guiding her down an alleyway. There, Thompson allegedly launched the attack, the court heard. Mr Jackson said Riley then chased Thompson, who gave him a minor injury to remove suspicion. After posting the Facebook video - something which Riley admitted - he then started making plans for the acid attack, the court was told.Jurors heard how he convinced Harrison to carry out the attack and demonstrated the strength of the acid to him by dropping a live mouse into a jar of the liquid. On the first attempt, Harrison poured the acid away and told Riley he had dropped it, the court heard. He also failed to follow through with a second attempt on August 13, after which Riley allegedly told him he had 'one more chance'.Prosecutors say a hooded and masked Harrison eventually completed the planned attack the following day.
