NAVIGON released Q1/2011 USA Maps.:D NAVIGON has released Q4/2009 USA FreshMaps and more are on the way. :D.Navigon's International site has FreshMaps available for the USA and they work with there current PND's.Map of North America Where is your next trip to? In our shop you’ll find maps for almost all countries in Europe and North America. Just download and get driving!NAVIGON release Q4/2009 All states in the USA.NAVIGON 8410 | 8450 Live NAVIGON 6310 | 6350 Live NAVIGON 2400 | 2410 NAVIGON 1400 | 1410.Comments.UPDATE : Looks like 3D Landmark mode has been fixed with Q3_2009. The demo files still do not load so I set up a short simulation route out in Las Vegas, where there are plenty of 3D casinos and buildings and it shows them on the route. Still nothing to get real excited about, but they are there. In response to davelac - On my 7200 I am seeing street names A-OK in 3D view. Unchanged from previous maps.Does anyone know if there is a formal procedure for suggesting updates to the POI in GPS navigation software. I know it is extremely difficult for any entity to stay on top of the changes going on in the businesses opening and closing, especially in today's economy. But do companies like NAVTEQ who manage the database for GPS software accept input from "trusted" users who would like to help keep information accurate? If there were pockets of "trusted" users around the country serving as inputs to the database, our GPS software would be even better. This brings up the question, how do the GPS databases gather current information about POIs? They even have difficulty keeping track of big box stores like WalMart. Will the Q4 2009 maps work on the 2100max (4.3inch unit). All states in the USA.Only work for the following PND's listed below.NAVIGON 8410 | 8450 Live NAVIGON 6310 | 6350 Live NAVIGON 2400 | 2410 NAVIGON 1400 | 1410.Your initial post which started this thread is the same info and may be somewhat confusing to new(er) Navigon users with different models. Your information is for European users that might be traveling to the US and would like US maps on their Navigons. All gps models listed as compatible are European models only. Cost is $129.00 EU = $185.00 US. These maps are not the quarterly updates that US users with either free or paid Freshmaps subscriptions are waiting/hoping for. Just wanted to clarify. While Q4_2009 US map update has been "promised" by Navigon they are considerably behind in fullfilling. I wonder how long we have to hold our breath this time? Are you an employee of Navigon Inc or affiliated with the company in some capacity?Based on your personal info that you are located in Washington, DC one assumes you are a US consumer. By your statement above how would a US consumer purchase a Navigon unit with the "newer features"? Or are your statements directed at the non-US market consumer? In addition, if the US market isn't dead why aren't 't we receiving quarterly map updates or decent, timely support of consumer questions and concerns, including warranty issues and replacement parts?I don't understand what you mean by "doesn’t mean that when our FreshMaps subscriptions run out, that Navigon won’t be an obtainable unit for the US market" in the above statement?Just curious and playing devil's advocate here. :lol:It will be very interesting to see if and when the next Navigon map updates is released. A major modification to an Interstate Hwy 5 onramp and offramp close to my house was completed almost a year ago. Entry to the Interstate was changed from left turns to right turns in both directions. The Q3 update still reflects the old interchange. Current NAVTEQ data shows the new configuration. Here's hoping that we get the next map update and that it truly encompasses the latest NAVTEQ data and not something several months old.Perhaps we are all whipping a dying horse. While I haven't yet made the move myself, there are many people who will be foregoing dedicated navigational devices and using navigational capabilities on smartphones. Some of you have been wondering about the status of Navigon, Inc., and their responsibility as it pertains to map updates. They have been very consistent with their European customers in providing US maps, updated on a biyearly basis producing Q/2 and Q/4 maps only. With this being the case, it’s no wonder that our quarterly maps have been reduced to seeing them only twice a year. Their next scheduled update for the Europeans to purchase US maps is, (Navigon release Q2/2010 map of North America). Are you looking to purchase Navigon Zagat Survey Activation Service or Navigon Freshmaps Activation Service . Try Compu-America @:"Navigon has just updated there website for US customers!"______________ NAVIGON released Q1/2010 USA Maps.Yeah, I have the 1Q2010 maps downloading now. over two hours and only at 68%.Their U.S. servers must be powered by hamsters now.Sorry about that. I will definitely remember the next time to include all the major details. You can always download a zip version of the update directly via the website and then delete a few voice languages such as spanish or french. Then it should fit the 2GB card.I downloaded the new 1stQ 2010 zip file and unzipped it a 2GB SD card and it worked fine. Did not have to delete anything. but if you use Freshmaps you need a 4GB SD card.I wonder if the POI's are updated? This version of the maps even has my new streets where I live. :D.Yes it works with the 7200. File size is 1906.75MB. I DL'd the zipped version yesterday and it installed OK.If you have a valid FreshMaps subscription I suggest you find it yourself since you need to log in to your account to gain access.Got it from the navaigon web site. You have to sign it and it points to the correct file. I think they are differant for each GPS. You have to have freshmaps account. When I log in to my Navigon account, it always points to Fresh for download and I already have the latest version of Fresh. Where does it show me where the zipped file is? Can't seem to locate it.Never mind. I found it. :lol:Are you confusing the application "Fresh" with the map software subscription "Fresh Maps"? Different puppies. There is a new map update called Q1.2010. You probably want to get that. If you run Fresh, the app, it should show you if you are entitled to download the Q1.2010 map update but only if you have your gps tethered via USB and you are registered. Downloading via Fresh is for most a better way to go as it preserves all your Favorites, etc., while installing from the Zipped file (really intended for Mac users running Windows) will wipe out everything and you start from scratch unless you know where to look and how to save your stuff.Updated my 2100max yesterday. Went to the Navigon website and downloaded the ZIP file. You get to the ZIP file by selecting "Other OS" from the FreshMaps screen. It is a long download, and it is probably a good idea to use a download manager.Once I unzipped the file, I copied the NAVIGON directory to my SD card which I removed from the 2100max and accessed directly.VERY IMPORTANT! Perform a backup through Fresh before you start, and after that is completed, do a manual copy of the NAVIGON directory on the card to a folder on the computer.Once this was done, I deleted ONLY the NAVIGON directory from the SD card. and copied the NAVIGON forlder from the download to the SD card. Returned the card to the 2100max, and Q1 2010 maps were there. Was able to use Fresh to verify the installation. A pain in the neck, but it works on a 2GB card.
