The following collections are available in our stores, all Mattress Ranch mattresses and foundations are made in the USA. Bronze is our most affordable collection, providing great support with many different sleep surfaces at a very reasonable price. Bronze features a tempered, USA made, wire-tied bonnell innerspring with eco-friendly foams and fibers. All foam used in Mattress Ranch mattresses is Certi-Pur US tested to assure no harmful chemicals are present.  Some Bronze mattresses come rolled for easy transport. The Silver collection features individually wrapped coils that are foam encased to form motion free, pressure relieving support. This is our most popular collection. Every coil is tempered for durability, and made in Tacoma Washington in a state of the art facility. Silver uses only Certi-Pur US certified foam and Eco Loft chemical free fire barriers. Gold features a unique two stage support system. Both stages are tempered, USA made individually wrapped coils that are them foam encased to form a motion free, pressure relieving sleep surface.

There are over 2000 coils in a Gold collection mattress. The first stage is composed of lighter pocketed coils that cushion the sleeper wile the second stage has a heaver, taller pocketed coil to support the spine in anatomically correct comfort. The gold collection uses Latex and Gel Memory foams that are Certi-Pur US tested and chemical free inherent fire barriers. Pressure relieving polyurethane foam blended with cooling gel. These dissipate body heat for a cool nights sleep. No innersprings are used in the Gel Tech collection making them perfect for adjustable bed bases. As with all Mattress Ranch mattresses, only inherent fire barriers and Certi-Pur US foam is used. Gel Tech mattresses come rolled from Sumner Washington for easy transport. Buoyant, hypoallergenic natural Latex foam, no springs are used in the Sweda collection. Patented STA-Fresh air chambers dissipate heat and moisture. The Support-Rite zoned base is designed for optimum lumbar support. Talalay Latex provides the same benefits as Memory foam with a surface you sleep “on” more so than “in”.

It has been used for at least fifty years in the mattress industry with great comfort and durability.  Our Latex is from natural rubber and is Certi-Pur Us certified. Advanced Gel Technology, the newest and most advanced materials and manufacturing techniques are used to craft the AGT collection. The first layer is 60% soy based STA-Cool Gel, poured between Latex and Memory foam to cool the entire body. Next are two interlocking layers of Gel-Memory or Polly foam that form patented STA-Fresh air channels that move air, heat and moisture out of the mattress. The third layer is the mattress core with dense Support-Rite zones to create anatomically correct support. Collectively these layers address the most common issues sleepers encounter, temperature, pressure and support.  No springs are used in the AGT collection. Mattress Ranch uses just one type of foundation in two styles, the wood foundation. Wood mostly sourced from the Northwest is the most economical and least problematic way to elevate a mattress.

Box springs are not necessary on a modern mattress, there will be no change in the feel between a wood foundation, an expensive box spring or even the floor. All our mattresses will work with platform beds. Not all our mattresses are available in all stores. We strive to keep items in stock but cannot guaranty immediate availability. Due to unstable steel and foam markets these specifications may change at any time. Comfort is subjective, please stop by and test rest a mattress today!A solid support beneath a mattress makes the mattress feel firmer. A comfortable mattress is key to a good night's sleep, which is key to the quality of your day. A mattress that is too soft for your liking may cause aches and pains or result in a less-than-restful night. Firm up that sagging nightmare by placing a bed board beneath it. Bed boards come in all shapes and sizes, some designed for use between a mattress and box spring, some with just a mattress. You can also make the bed board yourself from plywood, firming up that saggy situation once and for all.

The Plywood Sandwich Solution Plywood cut to the size of the mattress acts as a do-it-yourself mattress support that fits between mattress and box spring, making a mattress firmer. This comes in handy for a mattress that's too soft overall, or for a mattress or box spring that sags in some areas due to age. Measure the mattress and cut a sheet of 3/8-inch plywood to the same size; this may require two sheets of plywood if the bed is queen size or larger. To achieve curved corners matching the mattress, set the mattress atop the cut plywood, trace the corners, then saw along the traced lines. Sand the board and edges smooth to prevent snagging or splinters, wipe the dust away and then set it on the box spring with the mattress on top. Mattress-Only Support System If your mattress has no box spring as support -- for instance, a foam or latex mattress designed for use without the box springs, or on a platform bed designed for just a mattress, plywood comes to the rescue once again. Remove the mattress from the bed frame and measure the inner frame area upon which the mattress rests.

Cut the plywood to size, then place it in the frame bottom. Depending on the frame type, you may wish to bolt the plywood down by drilling holes through both the plywood and frame. If the bed has slats to support the mattress, set the plywood atop the slats or remove the slats entirely. Hinging on Comfort Some premade bed boards are hinged, designed to use with adjustable beds such as hospital beds or home-based versions with head- and foot-raising capabilities. These are available in hospital supply stores in various sizes compatible with common mattress models. Some versions are thin and fold up, accordion style. Hinged or folding bed boards are designed for use between the mattress and box spring. Bunky Board Bolster A bunky board -- a foam-covered, thin support typically used for bunk beds and platform beds -- works much like plywood to make a mattress feel firmer. These are sold in shops that sell bunk beds and come in standard bunk bed and platform bed sizes, such as twin, full and queen.
