Criticism on Peer e Kamil by Umera Ahma What is next to esctacy?Pain. What is next to pain?Peer-e-Kamil is my most favourite and the first Umaira Ahmed's book that I read, following her other books.Salar was an obnoxious guy that I hated most. He gradually transformed into a good guy and the story of his transformation and "realization of self" is what Peer-e-Kamil is about. Many people criticize about Salar's I.Q. level and that why he is shown as an extra-ordinary guy.

Please guys, when it comes to "the model of in " What is next to ecstasy?Nothingness. What is next to nothingness? HOW MUCH I LOVED "What is next to ecstasy?"" Let me get this straight first,I like Umera Ahmed and i think everyone in Pakistan does.Well, because dramas based on her book adaptations are awesome and give people like me a cause to fangirl (especially if they cast fawad khan). So she is a pretty common household name even my grandfather who is seventy-ish knows about her.so you can say, her immense popularity compelled me to expect A LOT from Peer e Kamil. It's not like I hate the book or something. I have a "it's not you, its me" kind of re When i read the book.... I was very amazed by the beautiful convincing style of the author..... She made me feel that i shall conquer the worlds... by falling in love with Allah Almighty and Hazrat Muhammad(pbuh).... And she is true....!Its the magic of love that makes us feel on heavens. That makes us to believe our importancwe and purpose of breathing in this mighty universe....

The people with everything or nothing are here to bow infront of Allah ... to have faith in Prophet(pbuh) because GoThis beautiful novel ‘PEER-E-KAMIL’ is written by Umaira Ahmad and it is about eternal love, the love of Allah Almighty, that results from the love of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) . This love changes the whole life, smooths the fidgets in any personality, brings spiritual maturity and leads to eternal satisfaction and success. The main characters of this novel got entangled in this love. How, when, where….etc, this is the actual story. “Salaar Sikandar” is one of the main characters who belongs to a very affluent and liberal family. He is an astonishing young boy with an extra ordinary I.Q of 150+. He is extremely ungrateful for all of his abilities as he always tries to commit suicide not because he is unhappy with his life but because he wants to commit suicide to taste the most unbearable reality of the world, death….and every time he tries, he fails.

Salaar has all types of social evils in him as he is portrayed as one of the most unbearable persons in this book. Then one night, an incident, changes his whole life. “I will recommend all of you to study this fabulous novel and get yourself enriched with spiritual thoughts. Surely you will fall in love with this novel. All the people who are pessimistic about what is going on in their surroundings, must read it. As this novel will help them to be optimistic about life.” The other main character is ‘Immama Hashim’. She is a college girl who studies medicine and wants to become a doctor. Her family belongs to a sect called ‘Qadiyani’, and she does not believe that the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) is the last Prophet of Allah. Thus in this novel, she starts studying Islam with the help of her two friends ‘Sabiha’ and ‘Jawairiya’. After finding Islam, she contravenes her family’s religion. Immama also finds the way to eternal success. Then her actual journey starts towards love of Allah and His Prophet with a lot of hardships on her way.

Jalal Ansar, Sabhiha, Faizan, Saad and Dr.Sabt Ali are some of the other main characters of this novel. How they contributed to this novel, that you can grasp only after a thorough study of this novel. How Immama Hashim and Salaar Sikandar meet each other in this novel? What is their relation? How their purpose of life meets an end? And how the title PEER-E-KAMIL is featured on their lives? This is a mystery for you but after reading this novel, how the mystery makes itself revealed in your minds, that is the actual beauty of this novel and yes, also of the writer’s mental clarity about this concept. I will recommend all of you to study this fabulous novel and get yourself enriched with spiritual thoughts. As this novel will help them to be optimistic about life. They will come to know that revolution happens, and this does not demand too much time, it begins and results from only a second’s thought. Individually, if a person just thinks for a while about himself, and about his responsibilities and judges himself and finds the moment -the moment of change – revolution then begins.
