AC in the coffee shop - probably space too vast to be effective - but guests and us sweated all through lunch.눇EXTREMELY caring staff, comfortable well appointed room, good amenities. On a grievance at midnight, duty chef made a special soup - it was absolutely perfect ! BUT, why the need to complain about a most awful soup first sent ?! 눉I like a firm bed but this was extra hard - uncomfortable night눇Beautiful Hotel - great roof top restaurant 눉Usually stay comes with Complimentary Break fast ; But they ask us to pay addl ; It should be given free with package눇Place & ambience and the staff 눇A wonderful stay at The Orchid Hotel. Every member of staff I met went out of their way to be helpful. In particular I must say a very big 'Thank You' to all staff at the Club Lounge who were exceptional in their service and who are all a great asset to their hotel.
Lovely to have a swimming pool on the roof of the hotel with attentive pool staff. The breakfast buffet was excellent and after the first day, waiting staff remembered your needs and did an excellent job in looking after you. Many thanks to The Orchid Hotel for contributing to making my first visit to India so enjoyable. 눉Good Cost very high and not given free drink pass.눇Area, food specially breakfast. 눉Approach to the hotel from main road with shanty town type hokker stalls and shabby structures. 눉They took them 45 minutes and a reminder to serve it. Billing was even worse. The cost was ridiculous 눇The roof top restaurant is very exclusive decoration and serving style 눉No guests allowed in the rooms 눉Food very costly and even rom service refused to provide the empty plate in room if we dont order any food.Furniture doesn't look clean and sticky. Old cupboards and drawers.눇Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food is good and a good choice at breakfast.
