This historic San Antonio TX B&B was built from 1906 to 1909 for General John Lapham Bullis, a frontier Indian fighter who played a key role in capturing Geronimo (some claim the Apache chief's spirit still roams the mansion) and beautifully restored in the 1980's. Each organization specializes in particular In-Kind donations. Do you have extra furniture in your home and no way to transport it out of your home? Consider, Donating your furniture to Samministries Furniture For A Cause, and you will get a tax deduction for your in-kind furniture donation. We also offer a FREE pickup service in the Greater San Antonio area, for eligible furniture donations. All you have to do is schedule your request, answer your door, and we take care of the rest! Your Tax Deductible furniture donation will be put for sale in our retail store, and the net proceeds from your donation will fund Samministries programs for over 1,000 clients that are working to achieve self sufficiency.

Donations eligible for the FREE pickup service, must be usable by another consumer and in good structural condition.
Cosmetic damage is common and expected. **However, if your furniture is deemed not saleable in our furniture store, our drivers reserve the right to refuse the pickup of the furniture. Below is an example of some of the items that may be refused by FFAC guidelines given to our drivers. If you are concerned your item does not meet these guidelines, feel free to upload a photo of your item on our online donation form and we will review the item to verify eligibility for the FREE Pickup Service. Soiled Cushions and Upholstery Excessive soiling on upholstery often means that the customer who purchases this item will have to reinvest in costly upholstery. Exceptions may be made if a cushion is detachable or if the frame is a high end frame that will be cost feasible for the reupholstery. These are costly repairs (if a repair can be made at all). Often if the structure is no good, then the piece is not safe or usable for another person. These parts are hard to find, and often costly.
The overall function of the recliner is not usable. Also if the frame is bent, the chair is not usable. This also leads to costly reupholstery expenses. Exceptions may be made for removable seats or cushions which may be reupholstered without having to reupholster the entire piece. In some cases if your piece has damaged drawers or doors, the piece may not be repairable and/or usable by another consumer. Broken Chair Spindles & Legs When the structure of chairs are broken the chairs are unsafe and not usable by another consumer. However, if you have a set of chairs, we may just discard the single broken chair. In some cases these may be repaired, however if the damage cannot be repaired, it is unsafe to use this item by another consumer. On some cases we may be able to repair veneer or the damage may be in a spot that is not noticeable. However, if damage is very noticeable and/or extensive, we will not be able to offer complimentary pickup service.
