The Hay design company was established in Denmark and first became visible to the public eye at the IMM (International Interiors Fair) Cologne in 2003. Compared to some of its legendary Danish competitors, the company from Horsens has a relatively short history. One might assume that the designers around the founder Rolf Hay would be especially subversive to classical Scandinavian design. However, that is not the case. Instead, the aim is to bring the Danish furniture design of the fifties and sixties back to life, as it was during this time, known as Danish Modern, that Denmark established itself as a leading nation for design. Instead of simply copying the old masters, the designers at Hay want to evolve the pieces in a modern, contemporary context. This dream is being pursued in collaboration with young and emerging artists as well as renowned international designers, and has already been quite successful in only a few years. The cooperation between the company Hay and the designers is exemplary: The Copenhague Collection, for example, was created in intensive collaboration with Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec and served to refurnish the University of Copenhagen with functional and aesthetically beautiful furniture.

Working with designer Sebastian Wrong, a complete sub-brand called Wrong for Hay was brought to life and presented at the London Design Festival 2013. Another characteristic of Hay design is the wide range of products: The range of Hay furniture is characterised by a unique diversity. Thus, next to iconic furniture such as About A Chair and complete sofa landscapes, one can find a huge range of pieces such as bed linens, glassware, office accessories or decorative items.Click to see this product in more detail Home / Childrens Furniture / Inspired your children to sit and read with our wide array of chliden’s benches, couches, chairs, rockers or bean bags. Homebody, loaf, couch potato, lazy person, hermit -- whatever you want to call them, they're experts at living the lounge life. Here are some thoughtful gifts to show that you not only understand their lifestyle, but support it. (At least during the holidays.) Because hey, who doesn't wish they could chill out at home in their pajamas all day? Image: Sean Marc Lee/GettyChromecast There are the couch potatoes who watch videos on their phones all day, the tiny screen pressed up close to their nose. Give them an upgrade by letting them beam all of those movies and clips to their TV with the Google Chromecast. The little gadget plugs right into a TV's HDMI port and is compatible with both Android and iOS, along with a bunch of apps like Netflix, Hulu Plus, HBO Go, Pandora and more.

For $35, it's the perfect stocking stuffer. Photo: Alex Washburn/WIREDRoku 3 Roku's latest set-top box is the ultimate device for streaming online content, from videos to music to pictures, onto the television. It's speedier than previous generations, and even comes with a few games to play with the motion control remote. Better yet, the remote has a headphone jack for the late-nighter who stays up watching action movies. At $100, it comes with more than 1,000 channels -- or apps -- so even the most avid couch potato will have something to occupy them all day long. Just because she's hanging out at home all day doesn't mean that your couch potato bud doesn't need fuel. Tonx makes it super easy for homebodies to stay caffeinated by delivering high-quality coffee beans right to their door. The beans are freshly roasted and come in 6oz, 12oz, or 24oz bi-weekly shipments ($12 to $34 per shipment). You can also opt for a gift pack ($39 to $199) which include goodies like a Tonx mug, Chemex 6-cup brewer, and Baratza Burr Grinder.

Bleh, who likes cleaning? Not lazy lounge types. The $700 Roomba 880 is great for keeping a clean home with minimal effort. The low-maintenance robot cleans on a set schedule, and vacuums room to room -- on all floor types -- learning the landscape of your home. When it's done, it goes back to its dock to recharge. All you need to do is empty out the HEPA-filtered bin once it's full. You can get previous Roomba models for less, from $350 and up. Image: iRobotAmerican Giant Hoodie American Giant's sweatshirts ($79 to $89) are the Internet's most famous hoodies for a reason. They're 100-percent cotton, American-made, fitted and durable, with reinforced elbow patches and metal hardware to last. Most importantly, they're super comfortable. They're the best for watching TV, and if you must leave the house, you won't even need to change. The huge pockets are great for storing your phone and change -- nothing will fall out into the cracks of your couch. Image: American GiantXbox One

The Xbox One ($500) is just that -- a total entertainment system packed into one black box. It will be the center of a couch potato's universe with gaming, TV, movies, music, video chatting and more -- all available at a central home screen. You can plug your cable box output right into the Xbox and do all of your TV watching through the console. And for the not-so-lazy lounger, the Xbox will even let you multitask and do two things at once: Videogames and music; Movies and music (OK, not all of these make sense). The Xbox One is responsive to voice control, so there's no need to even lift a finger. A quick glance at the Nimbus smart dashboard gives you a read on your digital life. Four dials show the level of activity on everything from email, calendar appointments, weather, and social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The Nimbus syncs with both Android and iOS, pairing with an app that lets you customize what shows up on its screens. The $130 dashboard would make an excellent side table addition for the digitally active couch potatoes.

At $1,500, you won't even need to blow a ton of money on it either -- at least relative to other similarly-sized HDTVs. The Ultrasonic Aroma Diffuser ($120) from Muji is a sleek white canister that fills a room with the calming scents of essential oils. It works by vaporizing water with the oil to produce a mist, so even a pizza-filled living room can smell better.
