In his attempt to silence reports that the Eagles were trying to fire general manager Art Briles.

There has never been evidence of any wrongdoing, but rather a culture of deception and overzealous coaches are operating to hide the truth for fear of getting the media talking about such details.

If Briles is still investigating, the Eagles will be faced with a very different set of questions than whether the firing is lawful or not.
