Page 2 is for non-profit organizations.) Check your date availability here: Rental Calendars The buildings at Brookside Park are available for rent from Mid-April through October. There is neither heat nor air conditioning in the buildings. All buildings have windows that can open. This building is a re-imagination of the original Carousel building. This is a popular location for weddings, but it can also be used for baby showers, bridal showers, family reunions, parties, etc. There is a small kitchen with a refrigerator, range, sink and it has lots of counter top space for food preparation.
Tables (25 6ft round tables, 1 4ft round table, 1 3ft round table, 6 8ftx3ft rectangular tables) and 200 chairs are included in the rental. The only original building left in the park, the Dance Hall holds a special kind of magic. There is a built-in bench around the interior perimeter of the building. Imagine the ladies sitting there waiting for a gentleman to ask them to dance. There is a small stage at the one end which is perfect for a DJ or a small band. Sliding doors on both sides allow for great ventilation in the summer. The windows also push out to allow for more sunlight and airflow. This building does not have a kitchen, but there are outlets available for crock pots, roaster pans, etc. Tables (20 8ft rectangular) and 125+ chairs are included in the rental. This building is a favorite for family reunions. The kitchen consists of a refrigerator, range, sink and lots of counter top space. The windows open inward to allow sunlight. The large front doors also open to allow easier access.
The playground is directly behind this building. Tables (8 8ft rectangular tables) and 50 chairs are included in the rental. This building sits closest to the restroom facility. Another favorite for family reunions, this space offers a refrigerator, range and a sink. Tables (4 8ft rectangular tables) and 30 chairs are included in the rental. The Log House is available to rent year round. It is a great location for a baby shower, bridal shower, birthday party, etc. It is heated in the winter and it has air conditioning in the summer. There is a small kitchen tucked into one corner with a refrigerator, range and sink. There is a private restroom. Tables (5 8ft rectangular) and 30 chairs are included in the rental. This pavilion sits closest to the playground (across stream in the distance) and is also close to the restrooms (near the parking lot). There is electricity at this pavilion. Available to rent April – October. This pavilion sits to the west of the Log House.
The playground is not visible from this pavilion, but it will allow you a little more privacy. A popular location for a wedding! Many people choose to rent the Gazebo in conjunction with another pavilion or the Log House to have a nice outdoor ceremony location and then an indoor/covered space for the reception. Ask us about renting the whole park! No tables/chairs come with the Gazebo. Electric is available, if needed. The Dover Community Building is home to the Dover Township Fire Department, the Dover Library and the Heritage Senior Center. There is also a large Community Room that is available for year round rentals – a popular spot for banquets, family reunions and wedding receptions. This is a great location for your next meeting! The hall can hold a maximum of 300 people (seated at tables), 600 (chairs only). We can extend a wall to create two smaller spaces. This facility also has a large kitchen that is included in the rental price. Community groups often hold large events here.
