This is the second baby shower I've hosted here and couldn't have been more pleased. Ismelda, the event manager, was a pleasure to deal with, accommodating with many changes that I needed to make. The restaurant staff was very professional and helpful the day of the shower. This time around, for the menu, we were allowed 2 options for the guests to choose from, as opposed to the previous party in 2013, in which we were given a choice from 3 options, which was preferable. There was a children's menu. The downside during this party was that there was another party in the other room at the same time. The 2 semi-private rooms are separated by a partial wall. What was annoying was that some guests from the other party took a short cut through my event to use the restroom. I would suggest that the hosts be requested at the time of booking to inform their guests to walk around rather than go through the other room. All in all,the venue is charming. We gave Peacock Garden Cafe a try because the wait at another restaurant was longer than I was will to give them. When we arrived the outdoor seating was full and had an estimate 30 minute wait time for a table. However they were able to seat us immediately inside which we accepted. The host walked us to a table, set the menus down and walked away leaving us a bit perplexed as to whether this was our table or whether he was looking for a table outside for us. After we saw him return to the host/hostess stand we determined that this was indeed our table. Within moments a bottle of water arrived. After about 7-8 minutes - after our menus were closed - of waiters and waitress walking past us, one finally stopped to take our order. After placing our order, we noticed a table for two outside had become available to no one was waiting. The staff was very accommodating in allowing us to move outside so I've have to forgive them a bit for our first 10 minutes after arriving.It's not that eating inside is bad.




It has the feel of a cozy French bistro/diner with a bar. But outside among the palm trees and vegetation gives a fresh, open, tropical feel that is old-world Miami. Our meals arrived a short while later and were very good.The Peacock Garden Cafe is a wonderful brunch experience that you should give a try if you're in the Coconut Grove area. It may be a bit pricey for some budgets but is worth experiencing at least once. Also, they advertise jazz on Friday and Saturday evenings which we are planning on giving a try soon. Loved the Caesar Salad with chicken when we ate there in February 2015. Never thought I'd be praising a Caesar Salad but here I am. Fantastic presentation and outstanding dressing. Service was a little slow and they gave us the wrong bill (less expensive than our bill!). Still I'd go back again just for the salad and the gentle atmosphere. The atmosphere was like eating in a shaded outdoor tropical garden. went there for sunday brunch. you might want to be there fairly early for brunch (around 10am) as it tends to get quite crowded.




but the garden is beautiful, with little bistro style tables scattered about, mismatching chairs and lots of plants.one truly sits in a garden to eat. the food was delicious and the berries mimosa is gigantic!!!! yes I have to agree, that the wait staff seems a little stuck up, but we got everything we needed and it was a nice experience We've just had a very good lunch here with friends. The garden setting is very pretty, sheltered without feeling too enclosed. The menu has a few pricey items, but most are quite reasonable and there are some very tempting soup/half-sandwich and appetizer/soup combinations. The menu has a wide variety of salads, pastas, burgers/sandwiches. Service is relaxed and friendly, yet professional. All of our meals, including the Bistro Burger, Chinese Salad, Turkey Sandwich and Pear Brie Salad were very good.The Miami Equestrian Club evokes an old South Florida feel.
