Guest Services A – Z Guide Accessible parking can be found just inside Gate 6, Gate 1, both north and west of the Expo Hall, the southwest corner of the infield adjacent to the ADA accessible walk tunnel and the south lot of the Indiana School for the Deaf. Most restrooms are accessible to persons with disabilities. Free-standing ATM’s are found around the Fairgrounds and are provided by Carolina ATM. All permitted bags, purses and fanny packs are subject to search upon entry and within the Indiana State Fairgrounds. All entrances may utilize “Bag Search Areas” for guests carrying a permitted bag. Regulations prohibit alcoholic beverages or glass items. Guests are not allowed entry with the aforementioned prohibited items. The Indiana State Fairgrounds does not offer a Claim Check area nor storage lockers. It is unlawful for children 15, 16 or 17 years old to be in a public place in Marion County at any time between 1 am and 5 am Saturdays and Sundays; after 11 pm on Sundays through Thursdays and before 5 am on Mondays through Fridays unless accompanied by the child’s parent, guardian or custodian.
For children younger than 15 years old, it is unlawful to be in a public place in Marion County after 11 pm or before 5 am on any day unless accompanied by the child’s parent, guardian or custodian. In an effort to create a healthier environment for everyone at the State Fair, there are now designated smoking areas stationed around the fairgrounds. The areas will be clearly marked with protection from the elements and a receptacle for all discarded smoking materials. First Aid is located in Hook’s Historic Drug Store Annex, near the 38th Street Main Gate (Gate 1), at the Public Safety Center near Fall Creek Parkway (Gate 6) and in front of the Tractor Supply Co. FFA Pavilion. Emergency ambulance service is available. During the Fair they can be reached by calling 927-7520. Gates open each day at 8 a.m. No tickets will be sold after 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday or after 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
*All times dependent on weather and other unforeseen conditions* STATE FAIR INFORMATION BOOTHS presented by PRAIRIE FARMS The State Fair Information Booths presented by Prairie Farms can be found at Gate 6, just north of the Covered Bridge, in the northeast corner of Pioneer Village, and on State Fair Blvd just inside Gate 1. Hours are 9am-9pm. Visitors can receive information about events, concessions and other Fair activities. Senior Shuttle wristbands can also be purchased here. Fair information line is (317) 927-7500. Breastfeeding mothers and families are welcome to visit one of the two new Lactation Stations located in the Red Cross at the Public Safety Center and in the Red Cross at Hook’s Historic Drug Store – to nurse their babies, use the changing station, or gather information about women’s and infant health issues. LEAVING / RE-ENTERING THE FAIR Anyone who leaves the Fairgrounds and would like to return later must get their hand stamped, or they will have to pay the $12 entrance fee upon return.
The hand stamp is only good for the day it is issued. Each day of the Fair, a stamp with a different symbol, number or color will be used. If the fairgoer does not have the specific stamp that corresponds to the stamp of the day, then they will have to pay the $12 admission fee. Hand stamps are available until 8 pm. The Gate Supervisor will oversee this procedure. Please contact the Public Safety Center during the Fair at 317-927-1400 with any reports of lost children. Lost children found should be taken to the Indiana State Police Information Booths located in the Public Safety Center (Gate 6), across from the Administration Building and across from the Tractor Supply Co. FFA Pavilion (Gate 12). The State Police can be reached at the northeast information booth by calling (317) 927-7665 and at the southwest information booth at (317) 927-7666. If you have lost something during the State Fair you can reach the Public Safety Center during the Fair at 317-927-1400. After the Fair is over you may reach our switchboard at 317-927-7500 with any questions regarding a lost item.
STATE FAIR PARKING INFORMATION Gates open at 8 am every day. Parking is $5 in the Infield. Cars & vans may enter through the 38th St. Main Gate, Fall Creek Parkway (Gate 6), Gate 10 at the northeast corner, or Gate 16 at the northwest corner. Customers can also park at the Indiana School for the Deaf off of 42nd Street and on 46th Street north of the Indiana School for the Deaf for $5. Free shuttle service to the Fair is offered at the 46th Street lot. Customers can also park for $5 at the South 38th Street Lot across from the 38th St. Main Gate and at Fall Creek Parkway and Keystone Avenue (shuttle service to Fair entrance included). State Fair Park and Ride service is available at Glendale Mall’s Rural Street lot. Free shuttles operate every 20 minutes from 10 am-11 pm daily. Animals not involved with State Fair exhibits or being used as service animals are not allowed. Seniors (ages 65+) ride FREE during both Tuesdays of the Indiana State Fair. Shuttles are sponsored by Hoosier Lottery, MHS, Sleep Number, Tractor Supply Co. and Universal Windows Direct. The ADA-Accessible Shuttle sponsored by Eastgate Chrysler Jeep Dodge & Westgate Chrysler Jeep Dodge is available for $1.00 for persons with disabilities. Shuttle service is available Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30 am – 10:30 pm, Fridays and Saturdays 9:00 am-10:30 pm and Sundays 9 am-10 pm. Shuttle service on Tuesday will be available from 9:30 am – 5 pm.
