In 2011, I found myself shopping for a dog bed for my little Pomeranian and I realized that many of the beds just didn’t fit my needs. The fabric was often boring and uninspired, the beds themselves were under stuffed, and they lacked the durability that was needed for even my little pup. With a degree in Interior Design and a lifetime of experience working with my family’s upholstery business, I set about to make a positive change in the world of pet beds. Over the years I have sewed thousands of cushions, designed hundreds of concepts, and worked with countless customers to bring their personalities to life in their interior design. Turning that expertise to the world of animals has truly been amazing. It is fitting that my Pomeranian was the inspiration behind the business itself and my kitten the inspiration behind the name. I was searching for the perfect name for her when I stumbled upon the French contraction J’adore.
While I eventually named her Lilly, J’adore captured this passion for pet upholstery perfectly. While our signature product line is our Custom Cuddle Beds, each of our beds are handcrafted with a removable washable cover and stuffed with the highest quality fiberfill available on the market. Our Custom Cuddle Beds are an original design and our unique approach to pet upholstery has made this propriety pet furniture sought after by pet enthusiasts around the world. Yes, all of our custom beds offer you the option to add your pet's name. Each bed listing includes an "embroidery" section explaining how to add it your bed and provides more information about our embroidery. It's a $10 add-on unless we've included it in a listing.
I'm having a hard time picking my fabrics, can you help me? I most certainly can help you create the perfect combination for your bed. To get started I would need to know what colors/patterns you like. For example, you could place an order & in the comments section at checkout write "I'd love your help. I'd like my bed to be gray and yellow. I like chevrons, damasks and stripes" or you could say "I'd like my bed to be gray, yellow with some navy accent. I like the patterns: Ozbourne Corn Yellow, ZigZag Ash, Stripe Ash, Fynn Navy, Scribble Corn but I'm not quite sure how to combine these". I would then email you back with some combination ideas and would work with you until you feel confident your bed will turn out perfect. Are your beds washable?All of our beds have been designed with a removable, washable cover which features a durable, upholstery-grade zipper. You just unzip the cover from the inserts and throw it in the wash. Our fiberfill inserts are also washable if they are soiled.
We include a link to detailed washing instructions when we ship our completed beds. What are the washing instructions for your beds? Wash the cover in cold water, delicate cycle, making sure to close zippers. Wash only when needed, using hot water or putting it in the dryer can cause the fabric to shrink and/or fade. Do you have anything to protect the bed if my pet has an accident? Yes, we offer top-of-the-line waterproof insert covers as an optional add-on if your worried your pet might have an accident. This fabric has a moisture barrier that has been bonded to the back so water cannot penetrate it. Follow link below for more details: Can I order additional covers? Yes, replacement and extra covers are available for all of our beds! We keep detailed records of all our customer's beds so if you want a new cover we can make you one that's a perfect fit. How long will it take to receive my bed? Our typical turn-around time is 2-4 weeks. Once an order is received, we verify the fabrics you requested and see if any fabrics need to be ordered or if we already have them in stock.
