Is it sake to use on a sil nylon tent? It's a lightweight and is made with no zipper. When used according to the instructions, Sawyer states that their Permethrin spray will not stain or damage clothing, fabrics, plastics, finished surfaces, or any of your outdoor gear. Your tent should be fine. Got Sawyers Permethrin spray, and doesn't mention spraying the insides of garments. Do you just apply the spray to the outside of your clothes? I would think the insides of cuffs would give more protection? Nothing on youtube instructions either. Permethrin spray is designed to be applied to the outside of clothing. While it can be applied to the inside of clothing, we feel that it would not be necessary. For example, when it comes to protecting against mosquitos, Permethrin has been determined to have “spatial repellency." This means that mosquitoes will swarm around you, but not land on your treated clothing and bite.
