However, as young people who are tight on budget. I do know people tend to bring in more guest and have them stay over. What I'm saying is and I know this is a ethical question but is it possible if I can sneak 5 people into a room that accomodates 4(2 double beds)? This will decrease the cost of our hotel expenses as we are trying maximize budget cost.

There are suite hotels like and others that have rooms for 5. The Courtyard Midtown East has some rooms with 2 queen beds and a sofabed and I think will take 5. I would not try to "sneak" anyone into a hotel room, but why don't you ask the hotel about their specific policies? I have been traveling for years with my husband and two kids; since rollaways and pullout sofabeds are usually horribly uncomfortable, we bring air mattresses for the kids and ask at the hotel if the room is big enough to accommodate them.
We have done this in dozens of hotels and never had a problem. When we request extra linens and towels, we have never been turned down. Sometimes the maids even make up our air mattresses in the morning (for which we of course leave an extra tip!) No - you cannot do it; if found, they can choose to kick you out and at the very least tell you to either book another room if it is available, or the extra person will have to leave. Hotel staff keep a very sharp eye for just this sort of situation - they know who is supposed to be in the room and who isn't. Don't think for a second that they don't. There are fire regulations and hotel policies that factor into the maximum number of people in a room. If you can't afford to come over, you may want to wait until you can and/or choose a hostel or a more inexpensive room. On several occassions my husband has gone on a business trip and I have stayed in the hotel room with him even though it was only booked in his name only! Not sure what floosey's comment has to do with anything as we are talking about bringing someone in OVER the maximum capacity of a room. Every hotel room is booked in one person's name. There is generally no difference in price between 1 and 2 people nor are there safety/fire issues with 2 people in a room. 1 person booking a hotel room that is suitable for 2 people and taking that 2nd person is NOT the same as 5 people staying in a room that is only suitable for 4. I don't see how sneaking in more than the allowed number of people would work anyway - what happens when you ask for another set of bed sheets or bathroom towels? What do you think the hotel is going to think?
