For readers looking for an alternative to the bustle and touristy River Street with a half hour or so to spend perusing favorite authors, this is the place.Lots of gently used books in every genre. My tastes run to mysteries but I noted there was a lot of historical titles, esp. Southern and military. A wonderful independent book shop that has lots and lots of books. I dragged myself away after I bought six paperback mysteries for $2 - $2.50 each. The proprietor was very friendly and knowledgeable. Wish we had one in VB, VA. I wish a store like this was in my hometown. I'd live there for hours. I only had a few minutes to pick up a local book that was recommended by a local tour guide, but could of looked for hours. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend you visit and spend time browsing. This is a great store! We spent lots of time here browsing for books. They have lots of used and antique books. It was a great cozy environment. We got off of Old Town Trolley stop 2 and walked a few blocks to Liberty Street just to see this little book store.

Very quaint and loved the old world feel. Mixture of used and new. Our young friend from Germany is a reader and she wanted a book as a souvenir of the city. She found a used... Located in Savannah historic district on east Liberty st. Features wifi cafe with coffee bar, over 50,000 books, youth section, new and collector books, search service, fine binding repair service. Great place to visit during heat of day, rainy day . Pairs well with historic district and squares. Special 50 cents book in baskets at entrance. This is the most charming bookstore I've ever visited. You almost feel like you are in an English bookstore from a century ago. The books are organized in a way that makes it easy to find what you like. There is plenty of seating, if you want to get comfortable while you peruse your choices. There is always someone sitting... Great books, great prices. Owner (I believe) was very nice. Very helpful to out of town guest. They had a great selection of southern cookbooks and a good number of old books as well.

Not so many in my area of interest (Texana) but a huge choice in many area. Aisles are narrow with room for one person at a time. A great place to browse and find reading both old and new. This is a great place for used books. It has some new books but for the most part they are used. It has a little cafe, chairs and tons of nooks filled with books. Great place for book lovers! Here is a more or less accurate list of independent bookstores where you can find n+1. If you go to any of these stores and find that they’re sold out, please ask them to reorder.
