There is no text in the book so you can read it to kids, no matter what their native tongue is. The Dutch edition of this book is more than double the price but the only difference is the back with the description.

The book features one or two letters every two pages and cleverly morphs them into eachother at times. No doubt not the best way to teach a kid about the letters of the alphabet because it morphs letters. Having said that, they are fascinated by the movements and what the letters represent.I would recommend it for kids between 4 and 6 who are getting into letters. However anyone who likes pop-up books will enjoy this little gem. See all 28 customer reviews (newest first) on Amazon.co.uk was an offer to a person who loves this kind of books and she loved it Bought this for my daughter, she loves it :) Great book, very little words, 26 letters in fact! I love the idea of this book - in reality it is not that smooth when you open some of the pages and appears a bit cheap but then given its only a tenner a pretty good deal My little one love it Fab book, I often look at it, it's so clever! A beautifully designed book given as a gift and very well received.

Pop-up books are even cooler, because these interactive treasures allow topics to literally spring to life, off the page, for your kids to behold. Below we've rounded up 12 amazing pop-up books that not only educate your child but will wow them (and you) with their brilliant art, color and style. In this book, filled with a lush green forest, a sloth sleeps. Can your child find him!? Then, sadly, machines arrive to tear down the trees, so what will happen next? This beautiful and ingenious pop-up book allows your child to watch as one forest is destroyed and then reborn. Perfect as a gift for children or design enthusiasts, is the well-loved Popville.

Popville uses pop up illustrations to help readers visualize the development of a major city along with the loss of green spaces, without using a single word. This book is lovely and the Bank Street Best Children’s Book of the Year 2011. The Washington Post called ABC3D, “Easily the most innovative alphabet book of the year, if not the decade… A true statement indeed. More art than book, this pop up takes the alphabet to a whole new level and kids will adore how each of the 26 three-dimensional letters move and change before their eyes. C turns into D with a snap and X becomes Y with a flick of the wrist. Plus, U is something else altogether! Teach letters and style at the same time with this amazing treasure of a book. This book takes your little one on a fun journey into the mysterious world under the sea. Whales, dolphins, angler fish, and much more leap off the page teaching your child about various zones of the ocean including coral reefs, the frozen sea, the darkest parts of the deep, and much more.

Note that some of the images in this book are very realistic and sometimes scary, so if say, the shark scene in Finding Nemo is too scary for your child, you may want to wait a few years before sharing this book. + Wild Oceans: A Pop-up Book with Revolutionary Technology $21.58 Titled as such, you’d assume this book is, well, about planetariums, but this pop-up extravaganza is much, much more. The book transforms into six fully functional tools: a real working planetarium projecting the constellations, a musical instrument complete with strings for strumming, a geometric drawing generator, an infinite calendar, a message decoder, and even a speaker that amplifies sound. Text is included alongside each pop-up, explaining the scientific principles at play creating an interactive experience for your child and you. + This Book Is a Planetarium: And Other Extraordinary Pop-Up Contraptions $25.64 Most children are well aware of the life cycle of a butterfly from a young age, thanks to treasures like The Very Hungry Caterpillar  — so this book will be familiar and delightful.

The pop up traces a caterpillar’s evolution from lowly cocoon to magnificent winged butterfly, but throughout the book your child will find insects hidden in the grass, inchworms munching their way through a jungle of leaves, and dazzling flowers, making the experience more memorable. + In the Butterfly Garden $16.95 This amazing pop up looks at how animals have adapted to life all over the planet, focusing on various interesting ecosystems as a whole. Each pop-up spread opens with a question: “What’s in a grassland apart from grass? What makes the rainforest so popular?” and more. The best part is how this book makes readers consider how one tiny change can have a huge impact on a whole habitat and beyond. + How Animals Live: A Guide to the Animal World $9.10 Books can teach children many topics, but a book that can master feelings is a gem, and exactly what The Color Monster does in a way that little ones can understand. The adorable monster in this pop up allows kids to see how emotions like happiness, sadness, anger, fear, and love play out, encouraging children to be more open with their feelings.

+ The Color Monster: A Pop-Up Book of Feelings $12.32 All kids should be aware of what our National Parks have to offer, and this book will tell them, in amazing detail. This beautiful coast to coast journey features 18 of the most visited national parks in the United States, with six as stunning, double-page pop-ups: Everglades, Great Smoky Mountains, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Glacier, and Yosemite national parks. + America’s National Parks: A Pop-Up Book $26.18 600 Black Spots is a clever scavenger hunt pop-up allowing your child to spend countless hours of fun searching for the black spots throughout the pages. However, many tricks and surprises bounce up, making the book a challenge that’s fun and entertaining for kids and parents. + 600 Black Spots: A Pop-up Book for Children of All Ages $20.06 Larger-than-life bugs spring from the pages of this book, not to mention they peek out from behind flaps, and hide under tabs, so young entomologists will not only learn, but be kept entertained at all the surprises.
