It's an error with markup on the original website. <figure> block isn't designed to contain regular text, but in this page for some reason they've decided to put regular text in figure:

I don't think that issue that occurs on two pages from 2017 out of 95000 other pages is a reason to decline an otherwise perfect template that handles all the recent articles.

I've searched for 95k pages on this website, and there are only two pages that contains this type of captions. Both from 2017.
