(thread) HIDDEN HISTORY about native americans that LIBTARDS wont tell you
#1. The VERY FIRST scouting party of the scurvy ridden near starving crew of the mayflower was IMMEDIATELY shot at with arrows upon touching soil.

2.
In other words. They shot first. And our muskets scared them off , as they have likely never even heard a sound like that in their lives.
3.
#2 The "secret" of the lost first british colony at Roanoke. Historians like to debate and bitch about what REALLY happened to the spooky disappearance of the FIRST colony in north america. However we dont really need to debate , and have not needed to for a long time.

4.
You see. When john smith (yes the guy from the disney movie) the famous founder of jamestown , asked pocahontas' dad , Powhatan , what happened to them , he gleefully told them he had them exterminated for talking to a tribe he didnt like.
5.
this isnt made up lol this actually happened and is in the earliest recorded histories of the colonies.
6.
#3. "Muh nature". Another trope you might know about is how much native americans care about the land and nature. What you didnt know is that north america used to be home of many native horse species. However 10,000 years ago the indians hunted them to extinction for meat.

7.
Another big example of this is the plains buffalo. In the movie "dances with wolves" they see skinned buffalo with rotting carcasses expanding into the distance. SAD! white man came and did this! . WELLL.....
no

8.
The reality is white man at the time had not colonized enough of the plains to do this. However. Europeans introduced the horse to native americans which DRASTICALLY increased their ability to hunt them. Within the span of 100 years. Almost all of them were gone.
9.
"but white man dont use whole animal" This is true. However , native americans quickly QUICKLY adapted to the trade and used their knowledge of hunting them , along with newly acquired firearms and horses , to decimate the population. It was the white man who saved these animals
10.
By 1889. there were only 500 left.
Today there are more than 500 THOUSAND
mostly on federal lands however future generations might one day hear the thunder of a bison heard all over the plains states. (also in russia)
11.
"THE GENOCIDE OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLE AND THEFT OF THEIR LANDS!"
yes and no. Was there , by definition , genocide? of course. Historical fact. We removed these people from their lands , and killed them when they resisted. But is there more to the story than that? yes. a big yes

12.
When cortez invaded what is now mexico , he brought with him a novel disease of extreme virulence that had not touched the continent before. This was absolutely unintentional and simply , on a grand scale. Evolution.
13.
The disease was smallpox. (another plague invented by the chines btw) that over the centuries made its way across the silk road to the middle east , and after the crusades into europe and spain. And by then , europeans had at least minor resistance to it.
14.
However when this disease eventually reached native populations in mexico. It was so devastating , it really cannot be put into words. The disease spread north into the rest of the north american native populations. And before the first english ship sailed. The damage was done
15.
The damage can really only be compared to complete apocalypse. For example , in less than 200 years, the native population of florida went from some 700,000 estimated. to just under 2000 in 1700. 76 years before the declaration was signed.
16.
Apply this math everywhere else. And basically everyone died. and this was before the white men showed up to the east coast. basically all the native americans died out before white men could actually genocide and destroy their culture. It was already dead. and the land abandoned
17.
"THEY SMOKED WEED AND WERE PEACEFUL"
What happens when you have massive population collapse and disappearance of competing tribes? new borders. And with them border wars. Competition of resources. And genocide.

18.
TLDR apply this scene to every region of the continental north america.
19.
in addition to their extreme violence against other native tribes. since the first day we arrived white settlers were raped , murdered , kidnapped , and enslaved. "good" says the libtard. lmfao okay.

20.
Photography was in its very infancy at the time. So there is VERY little proof of what indians did beyond word of mouth. The fear was real. Here is one image i found documenting what you might find on the plains.

21.
here is a higher res version. Dunno if it will make a difference

22.
anyway. Since the first day we arrived. dealing with the natives was a guessing game. There were OBJECTIVELY friendly natives that helped us almost our entire history. Like the cherokee. But most of the time it was hit or miss.
23.
Andrew jackson is a much loved person in right wing circles. However what he did regarding the cherokee is one of histories worst betrayals. maybe ever.
24.
However context is also needed. People have been living in fear of the indian on the plains for quite some time. And without internet or phones or any form of real communication. NAXALT was impossible politically.
25.
what was done to the american indian will be called evil by some , just by others. What the american indian did to colonists will be called brutal by some , just by others.
however this thanksgiving , give thanks that you live in a county without war , famine , and brutality
