A small thread on Chelsea's current situation:

If you look at the larger picture, we have been terrible in the league since 2017 with an average points tally of 68 points. Yes, we did qualify for the CL in 4 out of 5 seasons but it was a matter of small margins.

2.

2/19

Multiple times we have gone into the final matchday needing a win or hoping some other team does a favour. Qualifying for CL papered over the cracks and made people beleive that we're still an elite team

3.

3/19

As much as I love Roman(he'll always be my fav owner coz he made us elite) he handed over club's management to the people who weren't really Chelsea level. We didn't scout players before we signed, we didn't explore South American markets, we overpaid for average players.

4.

4/19

What Roman did well was invest in youth academy and today we see the results of it. Now, let's talk about recent past. In Jan 2021, Lampard was sacked and although it seemed harsh, it was the right decision. He didnt have the experience to handle such a big club at that time

5.

5/19

In comes Tuchel and we suddenly go on a run to win the CL. We won the CL because we were well organized and Kante was dominating games and our forwards got us crucial goals. I love Tuchel and he's one of my fav Chelsea managers, but we were a Cup competition side under him.

6.

6/19

7 Days before winning the CL, we had lost to Aston Villa and we deserved to lose that game. A few months later, we become the Champions of The World. We weren't the best team in England, forget about the world.

7.

7/19

All credits here goes to Tuchel who took such a average squad to such a high level. Tuchel also stuck through us during the tough period when we were changing to a different ownership. I will always have love and respect for Thomas. Now let's talk about the last 6-7 months.

8.

8/19

The new owners come in and they invested a lot of money. I think as soon as Petr Cech and Marina decided to leave the job, it caused a massive disruption with Tuchel coz he liked working with them. That was one of the reasons why Tuchel was sacked.

9.

9/19

The 2 signings we should've never made in the summer were Sterling and Koulibaly. If you watched Sterling over the last 2 seasons, you exactly know why Man City decided to sell him. And Koulibaly, its like buying a player who's just getting past his prime.

10.

10/19

On a free transfer, they are good signings but not for 35m. 35m gets you Sven Botman who's 23/24. Nobody can tell me Koulibaly is better than Botman. We overpaid for Cucu and Fofana but they are atleast in the right age profile.

11.

11/19

Let's talk about current situation: Ofcourse we are in terrible state and as a fan it hurts to see us play like this. But we are going through the worst injury crises in the last 6-7 years. James, Fofana, Kante and Sterling.. that's 4 starters out.

12.

12/19

Add to that the fit ones are dropping stinkers every single week. We need a complete revamp of the squad. I appreciate Tuchel a lot but i criticize him for agreeing to sign Lukaku, Koulibaly and Auba. Also, he extended Azpi's contract as well.

13.

13/19

We have players who are either atheletically or technically good enough, not both. If you want to compete at the very top, you need both triats.

14.

14/19

For Eg: If you put Kovacic in that midfield in that Man City or Arsenal team he will look really really good but put him alongside Jorgi and Gallagher and he looks so bang average. Not saying Kova is elite, its just team of bang average players.

15.

15/19

You can cover for 1/2 average players in the team, but you cant when you have 8/9 average players. In the summer we need to be ruthless and get rid of a lot of players. For me, Pulisic, Ziyech, Gallaghar, Azpi, Kante, Havertz, Mendy, Auba all needs to go.

16.

16/19

Some people say Kante is our best midfielder and should be given an extension. For 2 years, he's proved that we cant rely on him to be fit, so why not give chance to some youngester who will be on 1/4th of Kante's wages.

17.

17/19

Emotionally getting attached to any player will nt be beneficial for the team.We need spend money but we need spend it wisely. For once,to get a headstart we need to invest massively in the midfield area.Potter hasnt done well in the last few months but we need give him time

18.

18/19

I'm not asking people to give him 24 months like Arteta was given. But give him some time. Any manager would struggle with this team. Time to really back Potter now. Everybody backs people at their highs, we need to back him at his low.

19.

19/19

We will come out of this stronger than ever. I have complete trust in Potter.
