In light of Aug. 4th, i might be the first one of my family to talk about this publicly. I lost 2 cousins in the early 2000s because of an explosion that was ruled as an accident and a gas leak. But it wasn’t (1/7)

It was called the “Boucher Explosion”, Boucher was patisserie in the same building of my cousins’. It was a Saturday morning, they were going to school, Makassed. (2/7)

Long story short, R.Hariri’s daughter fell in love with her chauffeur, who was my cousin’s neighbor, but her mother did not approve of the relationship, so they wanted to “warn him”. (3/7)

So Tarek Arab, one of Hariri’s men, who died on February 14th 2005, planted a bomb under the elevator (not sure exactly how), and it was set to explode on a Saturday morning, because they thought that no kids had to go to school (4/7)

But they were wrong, they killed my cousins. The Hariri family quickly wanted to cover up the crime they caused -we assume Rafic did not know of it. And then the case was closed, and ruled as a gas leak. (5/7)

My family never got closure, my aunt never got justice for her two sweet and amazing young sons. The closest thing we got to justice was Tarek Arab being killed in the Hariri explosion. (6/7)

I’m writing this today, because I don’t want all of the Aug.4 victims’ mother to wait for عدالة السماء, I want them to get closure, to see the criminals behind bars. I don’t want them to end up like my family, we never got to see them rot in prison.

Also correction i think it was Abou Tarek and not Tarek.

I do not expect the case to be opened again, we couldn’t really care anymore. What triggered me to post this, was listening to my family group voicenotes from August 4th last year, the first thing my aunt said while crying was "ذكرني بانفجار الولاد".

And to whoever thinks that they can threaten any member of my family into removing this thread, don’t you fucking dare to even think of that, you’ll be messing with the wrong person.
