WinServ does not transfer server roles (such as (Domain Controller, Active Directory, IIS, Exchange, DNS, DHCP). While IIS and Exchange are not migratable, we can get other roles transferred for you (this is especially useful when you just need to migrate a small business server which controls the domain). As part of the Full Service package above, our server migration engineers will connect remotely to your servers at a time that works for you, and perform the migration for you.
Without setting up basic Windows settings manually, or re-downloading Office, Adobe, and other apps again, another data migration helper - Zinstall works to turn all of your stuff into a new computer, including programs, documents, music, pictures, favorites, emails, accounts, passwords, profiles, settings.
Zinstall WinWin supports the essential data transfer, and you can trust it to move data over the network. If you want to go far beyond the standard migration, you can purchase Zinstall Migration Kit Pro to transfer data from a broken computer.
When you can get away with simpler (cheaper) stuff, or even with USMT, you can use that, given enough time. I did like the completeness of their migration, and that it's pretty much a "push this button to start" instead of scripting scenarios all day long.
Most of our migrations were for profiles / data, no apps, but when we did migrate apps, that worked too. Can't transfer drivers, though, or AV. Some stuff will have to be reactivated / relicensed. Also, if you are switching domains, it will only transfer one profile at a time (in same domain, it transfers all profiles, but that doesn't work when domains are different).
The purpose of this analysis is to present a clearer picture of an enterprise migration process from the costs perspective, and suggest possible ways for cost reduction. We will first explore the components of a typical migration process, including compatibility aspects. Then, we will examine three common migration scenarios, providing cost analysis on per-user basis.
As the report shows, manual migration, or migration with built-in system management tools only - does not provide a fully unattended and complete transfer. Tools such as the Zinstall Migration Suite have been developed specifically to facilitate and automate the process and reduce its cost.
I searched for a way of transferring programs and files to my new Windows 10 HP PC. I chose zinstall and sadly was very disappointed. It took 24 hours. Then I found out that none of my files were transferred There was a hitch with transferring my microsoft home and student word 2007. I was told I'd have to pay an extra $83 or $87 (if I remember correctly) to have one of their techs achieve this. This took 8 hours. Then I found out that they did transfer Word but none of my files were transferred. Then I contacted Carbonite and they were able to download all the files in a very short period of time. I contacted Zinstall to tell them I was dissatisfied and the least they could do is pay back the additional $83 or $87. The person was fully prepared to deal with this so it was obvious I wasn't the first person to have a problem with zinstall. One would think a company would want us to be happy with their service. I wasn't asking for a full refund, just the extra amount. He refused no matter how I explained the situation. The only way he would be willing to reimburse me would be to totally undo everything they had done so I'd have to start from scratch. I will not use Zinstall again and I would not recommend them. I read all the glowing reviews on their website. Of course they aren't going to publish any of these negative reviews.
I to purchased ZInstall. When I asked for support for the simplest of questions, the only thing they would provide me with was that I needed to pay an additional $99 to properly install and activate the program. Your better off following Microsoft's recommendations for migrating XP to Windows 7. Use Microsoft's virtual machine until April 2014..
Fact is this program only creates a virtual XP machine, and it's my understanding Microsoft will no longer support that, after April 2014, anyway.
At total waste of money. Read the fine print on the agreement before you buy. You'll have no recourse if something goes wrong during the migration. NONE!
Most of the comments above are truthful. If you don't pay the additional $99 - their support becomes non-existent faster than a New York minute.
Avoid Zinstall at all costs!
I have installed the software and it fails to work each time.
The sugested fix is to completely uninstall my firewall and virus protection then connect to internet.
This is both stupid and irresponsible advice from zinstall a smy pc would be vulnerable to any hacker in range.
As soon as I ask for a refund, Zinstall no longer reply to emails but are now sending "pretend" auto responses.
The software does not work, the company are totally unhelpful, save your money and buy something else.
Zinstall will rip you off. 75035a25d1
