ZeroFi XMR Test: How to Bridge Your First 0.02 XMR
You can bridge XMR into zXMR by sending at least 0.01 XMR through ZeroFi, if you use the network and receiving wallet shown in its current interface. As of 30 September 2026, that interface points to Sepolia, Ethereum’s test network, so treat the zXMR you receive as a test token with no guaranteed monetary value.
What arrives in your wallet?
zXMR is an ERC-20 token on an Ethereum-compatible network, not native XMR. Ethereum.org’s bridge documentation explains the key distinction: a wrapped token represents an asset on another chain, and its value depends on the bridge and redemption process.
For this transfer, the ZeroFi protocol connects a Monero deposit to a zXMR payout on Sepolia. The interface currently lists a 0.01 XMR minimum, 10 source-chain confirmations, and 10 sweep confirmations; a sweep is the bridge’s follow-up transfer that consolidates deposited XMR. The XMR you send may be real Monero even though Sepolia zXMR is a testnet token.
How do you make the first transfer?
Use a small example amount such as 0.02 XMR, which is above the listed minimum. Follow these steps, checking the displayed network and amount before you send:
- Open the ZeroFi interface and confirm it still shows Monero XMR as the source and Sepolia as the destination.
- Connect an Ethereum-compatible wallet that supports Sepolia, then copy the receiving address from that wallet.
- Enter 0.02 XMR and review the deposit details, including the minimum, destination address, and any fee or amount estimate shown.
- Use your Monero wallet to send the requested amount to the deposit address supplied by the interface, then save the transaction ID for your records.
- Wait for the deposit and sweep confirmation requirements to complete, then check the connected wallet on Sepolia for zXMR.
Monero’s official payment guide says a transaction takes about two minutes on average to enter a block, but ZeroFi’s listed confirmation and sweep stages add time. A pending balance while those stages finish does not by itself mean the transfer failed.
What should you check before using the token?
Confirm that your wallet is on Sepolia and that it displays the zXMR token, rather than assuming the balance is native XMR or usable on Ethereum mainnet. If you want to try another transaction on Sepolia, you may also need Sepolia ETH for network gas, the fee paid to process an Ethereum transaction.
Before sending, check that the bridge still shows Sepolia, that your amount meets its current minimum, and that the wallet address is yours. Remember that sending XMR is irreversible once confirmed, as Monero’s payment guide explains.
Quick check: correct source and destination; amount above the minimum; wallet address copied accurately; transaction ID saved; zXMR checked on Sepolia.
