ZeroFi Testnet Deposits Explained

ZeroFi Testnet Deposits Explained

ZeroFi’s current bridge page sends zXMR to Sepolia, Ethereum’s test network, so treat this route as a test. zXMR is an ERC-20 token, a kind of token that runs on Ethereum, and tokens on Sepolia are not the same as tokens on Ethereum’s main network.

Can you send real XMR?

Do not send valuable XMR unless the bridge clearly says it supports a production route and explains how you can redeem the resulting tokens. The current page names Sepolia as the destination and lists a 0.01 XMR minimum, but that minimum does not mean the route is ready for real funds.

Sepolia uses test ETH and is for trying applications. A wallet connected to Sepolia will not receive zXMR on Ethereum mainnet. Ethereum.org also explains that wrapped tokens depend on the bridge that issues them, so their value and redemption depend on that system.

For example, if you want to try the flow, first check that the source side explicitly supports test XMR. Then connect a wallet set to Sepolia, confirm the displayed destination, and use only test funds. If the page only says “XMR,” ask the project’s official support channels what network that means before sending anything.

What happens after a deposit?

The bridge page currently says it waits for 10 confirmations on the source chain, then 10 sweep confirmations. Confirmations are blocks added after a transaction; a sweep is the bridge moving deposited XMR onward. These waits can take time, and the page does not promise a fixed completion time.

Keep the deposit transaction ID, which is the Monero transaction’s lookup code. If zXMR does not arrive, use the bridge’s transaction tracker if available and compare its status with the transaction ID. Do not send a second deposit just because the first is still waiting.

how ZeroFi routes XMR covers the full route and its steps; this page answers the separate question of whether a displayed destination is suitable for real funds. The bridge page lists its current confirmation settings, but check them again before any test because they can change.

What should you check before trying it?

Confirm the network name in both the bridge and wallet, and check the amount and receiving address before sending. The page shows a minimum, but I would also look for a clear fee and redemption path; if either is missing, wait for official details.
