A HEART LAID BARE. / Where your eyes find.

Some people believe first impressions linger the longest. If they are right, then perhaps mine has already painted me as someone difficult to approach. There has always been a certain quietness about the way I carry myself, a composure often mistaken for distance. Yet those who remain long enough seldom leave with that same conclusion.

Beneath the still waters is simply a man who finds solace in the gentlest moments and who believes the smallest acts of kindness are often remembered the longest. I am Zev Wadelian, though I have always thought a name becomes truly beautiful only when spoken by someone who holds it with affection. Zev, Wade, Elian—or perhaps a nickname only you could have imagined. I suspect I would answer to any of them just as gladly.

If my nature were to be gathered into words, I imagine it would resemble balance. There is a part of me that delights in playful banter, stealing smiles through harmless teasing and conversations with jokes as accessories that wander wherever curiosity leads them. Yet just as naturally, that same lightheartedness softens into quiet sincerity. I admire the kind of company where silence never feels empty but filled with love, where comfort asks for no explanation, and where simply existing beside one another becomes a conversation of its own. Laughter has its place, but so does stillness of warmth, and I have grown rather fond of both.

The world has chosen to call me an ENFJ, while the stars insist upon Scorpio. Whether either has managed to capture who I truly am is a story I would rather leave unfinished until you've written your own impression of me. One thing, however, has always remained certain. I have never believed affection belongs to a single language. It lingers in sincere words spoken at the right moment, in time willingly shared, in quiet reassurance, in a hand that instinctively reaches for another, and in countless gestures so small they might otherwise go unnoticed.

Beyond all of that, I find myself endlessly drawn to the little things that color ordinary days. Music follows me almost everywhere, wandering effortlessly between Western artists, K-pop, Japanese releases, and Indonesian songs. When melodies have said enough, I often disappear into Webtoons, anime, movies, and stories that remind me every person carries an entire universe beneath their skin. Perhaps that is what fascinates me most—the quiet privilege of discovering another person's world, one conversation, one laugh, one ordinary day at a time.

For now, these words are all I have to offer before the rest of me is left for time to uncover. After all, the finest stories have never revealed everything within their opening pages. Should our paths ever find themselves woven together, I hope we greet whatever follows with honest hearts and the kind of familiarity that feels as though it had been waiting for us all along.
