I've been a Hilary Duff fan since her Lizzie McGuire days and its so exciting to see her in such a great comedic role again. While I came for Hilary, the rest definitely did not disappoint. The show did have that rushed pilot feel but even with that in mind it was still a great episode. The characters were extremely well written and Sutton Foster and Debbie Mazar are great and have such wonderful chemistry. It also had that great Darren Star quality to it. Reminiscent of Sex and the City but with enough differences that it stands out as it's own show with it's own vibe. Can't wait to see the rest of the episodes. I hope this sticks around!
SUTTON Be Still my heart!!! I was super excited to hear about this show. I have adored her in Bway shows and when she was in "Bunhead's" (still upset that it got axed) After watching this pilot episode I am now hooked!!! Can't wait for it to be on t.v. and episode 2. I can foresee some shenanigans already! Great combinations of actors, quick and quirky dialogue. #teamsutton
I am hooked! This show is so enjoyable...funny, and excellent writing! I like the premise...sort of like Clark Kent and Superman. The characters are well written too, and the acting outstanding. I didn't hear about the show until I listened to Sutton Foster on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me. I checked it out and binge watched 3 in a row! I stopped myself because I want to make the episodes last! Foster is beautiful to watch, and great facial expressions!
I enjoy Younger, and while I would say it's a decent show for young adults or even older adults, I can't say that it's a perfectly fair representation of young adults or that I find any of the characters relatable. Perhaps they ARE completely relatable...but they aren't to ME. However, it is fun to see something different for a change. I must be honest, though; I wouldn't be watching this show if Sutton Foster and Hilary Duff weren't in it. I'm a huge fan of both actresses and to me, they really make the show. It's funny, it pushes the envelope, and it sucks you in right before it ends each week. I look forward to watching more episodes!
Honestly I like all the actors - the plot is a bit wonky - BUT - the writing, setting and the fantastically talented cast make it a safe bet - let's hope they shake off the freshmen jitters and come back even stronger and wiser for their sophomore season. Added bonus - Nico Tortorella - is CRAZY hot. I'll keep watching just to see brooding tattooed dude pull of his shirt and bust out a grin now and again. Does that sound super gay? Good.
I love this show! Sutton Foster is one of my favorites, adn her performances here are top notch. This show attacks the differences between a 25 year old and a 40 year old with a respectful, but hillarious, manner that doesn's feel cheap or gimmicky. I hope that more episodes are forthcoming because after the calcellation of Bunheads I don't know if I can take another Sutton Foster show getting the axe.
I love this show! There is always an air of suspense and intrigue to every episode. The cast is amazing and the story lines keep the viewers returning for more. This series is fun and refreshing, speaking to all generations. Plus this show feels real without trying too hard. Will always watch.
Great show! Solid acting. Very intriguing premise. Sutton Foster is perfect in the lead role. She does a great job of navigating between her 40-something life and her 20-something life (and yes, she passes for 26). Lots of great cultural references to the millennial generation - hilarious. I'm only halfway through the first season, and I can't wait to binge-watch the rest, and then devour Season 2. Gotta give a special mention to Miriam Shor - brilliant as Liza's boss.
