The Young Turks (Ottoman Turkish: ژون تركلر, romanized: Jön Türkler, also كنج تركلر Genç Türkler) were a broad opposition movement in the late Ottoman Empire to the absolutist régime of Sultan Abdul Hamid II (r. 1876-1909).

The Young Turks was originally developed as a radio talk show that was similar in format to a Los Angeles-based public access television program that Cenk Uygur had hosted, titled The Young Turk.
The origins of the revolution lie within the Young Turk movement, an opposition movement which wished to see Abdul Hamid II's authoritarianism regime dismantled, and saw themselves as successors of the Young Ottomans.
Young Turk Revolution (July 3-23, 1908), revolt against the autocracy of the Ottoman sultan Abdulhamid II inspired by the Young Turk movement. It resulted in the restoration of a constitutional government, although the Young Turks did not take power for several years afterward.
