Young Thug and Gunna are joined by their friend and frequent collaborator, Travis Scott , for the remix of one of the most popular songs on So Much Fun . The remix features a new verse from Travis, which was accompanied by a music video starring the three artists literally on fire.
Thug posted on his Instagram story a screenshot of “Hot” being exported with an open verse, hinting at a remix. Travis Scott also posted a caption “H🔥T“ on his Instagram story that same day, leading many to believe Travis would be the artist featured on the remix.
On October 28, 2019, the first snippet of Travis' verse leaked online. The following day, a demo of the remix with an open verse where Gunna’s verse usually appeared surfaced online.
This marks the second time that Thug, Gunna, and Travis have all collaborated on the same song, following August 2016’s “Floyd Mayweather.“

“Hot"—crazy! We was very, very excited. Gunna actually recorded it by himself. I fell asleep. We recorded like three of four songs, I fell asleep, and then he kept recording.
Yeah, he played it when I woke up. I knew it was that type of song. He don’t usually even remind me of songs because we got so much music. Sometimes he’ll go in the other room and record all night, and I’ll be in my room, recording all night.
So that’s when I knew like it must be that type of song cause he aint never gon' be like, “Listen to what I did last night.” That was one of the first times he did that. One time he did it with “Oh Ok” and that was tight. But he don’t do it that much. He did it, and I was like “This must be one of the ones.” And when they pulled the session up and played it. I was like, “Oh fuck, pull this up right now. Let’s do it.” I ended up laying the verse down. And then, he was like, “I wanna shoot a video and—” And I was like, “Holddddd on. Slow down. Nigga, this song mine!” He was like, “No.” And I was like, “Yeah, nigga. I gave you ”‘Three Headed Snake’!” There I go.
Yeah we done had these run-ins a few times. Where [Gunna]’s like, “Yo, lemme use this! Man, I’m your artist, nigga! Goddamn, you already been a superstar! Lemme get this!” He always uses that.
But he couldn’t use it for this. I was like, “I don’t give a damn! This song is mine!”

" Hot " is a song by American rapper Young Thug , featuring vocals from labelmate and fellow American rapper Gunna . It was produced by Wheezy and sent to rhythmic and Urban radio on September 23, 2019. It originally charted in several countries as an album track upon the release of So Much Fun in August 2019, [1] before being released in a remix with an additional feature from American rapper Travis Scott , a frequent collaborator of both, on October 31, 2019, [2] and reaching a new peak of number 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100 . [3]

The music video for the remix was released through Young Thug's official YouTube channel one day later, on November 1, 2019. In the video, Young Thug appears as a fireman, and Gunna is shown rapping in a burning house. [4]

The video opens with a marching band led by Wheezy, the song's producer, on a gridiron football field. The video then transitions to Young Thug receiving a call help Gunna as he is on fire inside a house. Young Thug puts on his fireman gear and drives a Slime F.D. truck to the scene, and finds Gunna "calmly writing a note like nothing is happening around him". As soon as Thug approaches Gunna, the house explodes from the blaze. The scene then cuts to Travis Scott on a gridiron field, where the fire has now reached. Scott is surrounded by a marching band playing the song's instrumental. The blaze eventually hits each of the marching band members, who are lined up to spell out "Hot" like the track's cover art.
