We had an uneventful and 'pleasant move'. ( You notice the drudgery of your move when things start to go wrong. ) Getting a quote was easy and I didn't have to spend a lot of time on the phone ironing out the details. There are no hidden fees and layered pricing structures. On the moving day, they gave us a call before they started to give us an update, arrived on time and got started. Our 2 bed apartment's move took about 7 hours. ( 3rd floor with no elevator at the source and a very finicky elevator at the destination.) What could have been much more frustrating went smoothly because everyone kept their cool and went on working. Thank you !

*DO NOT USE* Imagine this, you are schedule to move, and the movers never show up. And then they are incredibly rude on the phone and don't apologize. Moving is stressful enough.
After a 2 bedroom move, I would never use this company again. Owner promised 2 trucks, but only came with one. The single truck broke down after being fully loaded. Went back to the house after movers left and saw they forgot a ton of large items on their second trip. Called the owner, asked if he could send another truck the next day, and he said I should get another company to finish the move because he "didn't like my tone". I disputed the credit card charge because the move wasn't complete, and owner threatened me by saying he lived in the same town. The mover guys were great, but the owner was horrendous. Moving is stressful enough. And there are plenty of other moving companies out there. After our experience, don't take a chance, just go with someone else.
Called for an estimate for a local CT move - provided location to location, Chris gave hourly rate & travel fee. Did not ask for addresses, number of pieces or floors. Lowered hourly rate by $25/hr but only if I committed on phone now. Explained I was calling several movers this AM and did not appreciate this tactic. Got the take it or leave it - "I don't need your business" as a response as he talked over me and so I hung up. I don't need a lower price to put up with a bad attitude on a move sir. Have a nice day. PS I have been on Yelp since 2013 and generally write positive reviews when things are good to great. Businesses don't need to deal with bad reviews for eternity. But review further comments below and the attitude is not a first with me. This is my first 1 star review.
I will not recommend this mover to anyone, after I used its service yesterday (July 2, 2022): - Moving operation went wrong: I have a sofa which I loved. I should admit that it was not easy to get it into the apartment but our mover last July got it done properly. The crew from 2 Young Stud arrived today to help us to move out and I told them about the sofa. They assured that since it was able to be moved in, they should be able to move it out as well, but it turned out that they could not. At the end, I cut three legs off the sofa to get it out. Suggestion: this is not a capable team at its profession; consider a move as a journey, and the journey may have bumps or turns, you do not want to travel with them. - Management/operation scheduling inefficient: we scheduled the move at 12:00 pm but then they called at 8am Saturday on whether we could change to 8am. So if you want a more predictable company, this is not one. My wife told them the destination but they misunderstood (they said) and sent a small truck and planned to go two times--they charge by hours and this would be clearly beneficial to them but not the customers. At the end, their truck would not fit and I needed to help them to put some of their loading equipment into my car. Suggestion: if you are looking for a well operated company, this may not be one. - Customer care is chilling: it turned out that the crew was very careful to take photos, without informing me, when I was cutting a sofa leg, and sent the photo to the owner. I can understand that this was for legal protection. I wish that the informed owner should think customers first and react by suggesting/advising the crew how to find a solution--after all, your peer did it but 2 Young Stud cannot, and if I were the owner, I would be embarrassed. Instead, they literally just watch and record (secretly) their customer, taking an action of their suggestion, because of their failures. Two Young Stud does not even set up an infrastructure to help its own crew to learn and do a better job--I blame low moving capability at the company, not the crew. It is ironic that the company site says it is customer first. On the other hand, during the loading, I went to the market cross the street to buy drinks and food for the crew; after loading, since I would be faster to arrive at the destination, I asked each of the crew details to select from the full menu his choice of food at Panera bread, I paid for them, drove to Panera bread to pick up the food for them. I was upset at the end, but I gave the crew reasonable tips still and I signed off the contract at the end. In late afternoon, the more I thought about it, the more I felt not right. I called the owner and said that I would ask my wife to held on or decline the payment unless the owner would call me. My intention was to discuss how to best handle such issues such as a hotline. The owner called me back. In a short 4-min talk, the owner (Chris) (1) made ridiculing comments that I cut the legs myself, (2) made threatening statements that he would sue me; and (3) dropped f*** words. Conclusion: if you want a customer first company, think twice; if you are a nice person (e.g., try to buy lunch and pick up by yourself for your mover), and think others reciprocate, think twice; if you find the following image chilling, think twice: a company could not do its job, suggest a fix (cutting the legs, even how long, how to choose nails), then said they had no saw, you followed, they secretly videotaped, and then owner ridiculed "your odd decisions"; if you are not comfortable with aggression against you when just a single, short customer service/feedback call by you will quickly result in verbal and text litigation threats against you, think twice. At the end, I want to emphasize that the crew are nice, friendly human beings! The operation and the customer care attitude of the company, however, are below the bar. Individual experiences are unique and this negative experience could be unique to me, due to reasons which I cannot know.
We had a really, really TERRIBLE experience with these guys, which surprised me due to the generally very positive reviews. I summarized our experience below and also added screenshots with the owner chris, since I'm sure he will respond below denying it in some way. Tldr of the story: they kept us waiting for 6 hours and then bailed on us completely. The tldr of the situation is that I called them 2 weeks before the move and they said they could only do 7:30 am on the Sunday we wanted to move. We said sure. The day of the move we were kind of sitting around twiddling our thumbs waiting for them with all our boxes packed and after a while I called and they said they were just finishing up another job and would be there soon. They weren't. An hour later I called again and they said they were "right around the corner." Another hour passed and they were not there. THIS WENT ON FOR 6 HOURS. Finally he texted saying his crew had just quit on him and that they wouldn't be showing up. He offered a refund, which is great I'm glad he did, but that didn't exactly offset the fact that we had waited 6 hours for them on the one day we could all be free to do so, and then they bailed on us completely and left us to figure it out starting late afternoon, with all of us having to work the next day. My roommates also left reviews which he responded to calling them "not real customers" which is...false since it was a 4 bedroom apartment move. Tldr of the story: they kept us waiting for 6 hours and then bailed on us completely.
This guy said he ran my card and it was declined. This was AFTER he stated he was NOT going to return my items, that he was going to charge me storage, and I had to find another company to move me all because I said "that's what reviews are for" when he told me next time find another f***ing company if I did not like his services. He hung up and then tried to run my card for $1010 WITHOUT informing me he was doing so. He angrily called back and I asked why was he charging me for an unfinished job? He said that's what I owed for THAT day. I always transfer my money once you tell me the price, one does not just help themselves, ESPECIALLY after telling me he was NOT bringing back my stuff. Once I mentioned "lawyer" the next day, suddenly this was a HUGE mistake, he would bring my stuff back that day and I could have a 20% "discount". I had already been warned by his workers Chris does this kind of stuff, sending untrained movers, too small trucks and does not take responsibility for ANYTHING. The 1st set of movers even suggested I get a U-Haul and move the second load myself and asked my cousins husband if he had a jeep or something so we could finish the move ourselves saying we would save money, which defeats the purpose of hiring a moving company. Chris is arrogant, rude and has entitlement and anger issues. I have posted his rude responses and screenshots showing he was paid and that he is a liar. Please see screenshots of his threats and proof he was paid. 2 days, 2 crews, almost 12 hours to move a 2 bedroom apartment to storage. Approx $1200. SCAM even according to his movers. And the guys did not work through the night. They showed up an hour and a half late outside of the two hour window, which was between 12:00 and 2 and they showed up at 3:30. I call Chris right after I had rented a 10x17 storage space and ask for a three-man crew and he said they only used two men crew for a two-bedroom apartment. My storage unit was closed by the 2nd trip since the first crew couldn't fit everything on the truck and told me I would need another storage space since everything wouldn't fit into the storage space. Chris eventually sent a second crew the NEXT DAY, who not only unloaded everything left in the truck, but also took out EVERYTHING and rearranged it in storage so EVERYTHING fit and I did NOT need a second storage space AND THEY DID IT UNDER 2 HOURS. Maybe if he sent that crew the day before, I wouldn't have had to deal with two hard-working, yet woefully untrained movers who got there late and didn't know how to load a truck efficiently.
