A pornographic photo-sharing website featuring images of Australian schoolgirls is back online 10 days after being shut down by authorities.
Beginning of dialog window. Escape will cancel and close the window.
This is a modal window. This modal can be closed by pressing the Escape key or activating the close button.
The website caused widespread outrage this month when it was revealed that many of the pictures were of underage students and were published without their knowledge.
Website users request images of girls from particular high schools, including Wenona, Turramurra High School, Asquith Girls High, Blaxland High School, Wyong High School, Holsworthy High School and John Therry Catholic High School.
Schoolgirls have been unwittingly targeted on a pornographic website.
Users refer to nude images as "wins" and offer to swap pictures with others.
It is believed more than 2000 images of students from an estimated 70 Australian schools have been uploaded since the website was established in December.
Barker College, Leumeah High School and Mullumbimby High School are among the NSW schools targeted on the site since it went back online, News Corp reports.
Some girls who have asked for their images to be removed from the site have been mocked by the users.
"Darling, don't be a slut and you won't end up here," one user posted to a girl who protested. "Once a photo is on snapchat or the Internet, it belongs to the Internet."
One young woman who found a photograph of herself on the website described the violation as "terrifying". The photo was taken from her Facebook page.
"Just to know that someone is out there looking for naked photos of me and doesn't care how I feel is very intimidating," she told Fairfax Media.
The overseas hosted website was shut down earlier this month after Australian authorities raised the alarm about the age of some of the girls in the photos. Some of the students were as young as 15 when their images were taken.
In a statement to Fairfax Media, The Office of the Children's eSafety Commissioner said that it was "in contact with a number of those involved in the complex supply chain for this website".
"The image of the young girl originally referred by the Office has been removed from the site, and the site's administrator has been made aware that content on the site breaches its own terms of use," the statement said.
"The Office expects further modifications."
Minors who see "intimate images" of themselves online are encouraged to report it on the eSafety Commissioner's website .
Women or girls who have had their photos taken can find further advice at eSafetyWomen .

The Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau has warned young Thais not to produce sexual content and share it via online platforms for commercial purposes as it is illegal.
The statement was released yesterday after police arrested a young couple, Suthanya "Kainao" Nakornjinda, 19 and Korakot Sarirat, 20, who shared their sexual exploits via the OnlyFans website, a content-sharing platform based in London.
Pol Lt Gen Kornchai Klayklueng, commissioner of Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau, said the couple were arrested at a hotel in Samut Prakan's Bang Phli district late on Monday night.
They admitted to producing pornographic content and uploading such m aterial onto a computer network since June.
The young couple said they had earned about 500,000 baht from producing the content.
However, the couple denied the charge of making obscene video content for the public to access as they insisted they produced their material only for paid members of OnlyFans.
The couple was granted bail yesterday at 100,000 baht each after they pledged not to continue producing such content.
The arrest of the couple made #NongKhaiNao among the top trending Twitter hashtags that was tweeted by more than 300,000 people.
People have condemned police for making a big deal out of sexual content while there are more serious crimes in the country.
Some said the couple did not harm anyone and that the content was for paying subscribers.
Tanawat Wongchai, one of the anti-regime activists, tweeted that the police had made a big drama about the matter.
"How do Thai people benefit from this?" he asked in a tweet.
Another person questioned why it was wrong to film sex for a certain group of people. Some voiced their opinion that it was her body so it was her choice.
One person wondered why police were so serious about catching the clip maker for OnlyFans, but didn't try to catch criminals in rape cases.
In another case, police have arrested Nitchamon Charoenthitiyotkul, 30, an accomplice of fraudster Thidawan Boonkla, at a hotel on Asok Road after she fled from her condominium in Bang Na district. The two women are allegedly involved in an illegal Ponzi scheme.
Survivors of a karaoke bar blaze in Vietnam spoke on Thursday of their terror as they tried to escape an inferno which killed 32 people and has raised questions about fire safety standards.
FRANKFURT: The European Central Bank (ECB) announced the largest interest rate increase in its history on Thursday and said there were more to come as it scrambles to pull inflation down from record heights.
The worst might not be over for residents of rain-soaked Bangkok and vicinity.

A Laredo man has pleaded guilty to possessing and viewing child pornography on the messaging app Kik, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Ricardo Reyna, 22, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and receipt of child pornography. His sentencing is set for Oct. 18. At that time, Reyna faces up to 20 years in prison and a possible $250,000 maximum fine.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation with the assistance of Homeland Security Investigations and the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office.
Assistant U.S. Attorney April Ayers-Perez is prosecuting the case. This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative the Department of Justice launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
The case unfolded on May 22, 2020, when an online undercover employee from the Winnebago County Sheriff’s office observed a Kik user with the name “trapwatcher616” distribute child pornography within a Kik group used to trade child pornography.
“Trapwatcher616” uploaded a video showing a girl, aged 4 to 6 years old, performing a sexual act on a man. A second video uploaded showed a girl about 10 to 12 years old exposing her private part, according to court documents.
FBI special agents subpoenaed subscriber information associated with the Kik account for “trapwatcher616.” Authorities would identify the subscriber as Reyna, out of Market Street in Laredo. FBI special agents executed a search warrant at his residence on May 6.
Authorities seized a number of electronic devices including an Apple iPhone 7 and an Apple iPhone 11. FBI and HSI special agents spoke to Reyna.
“Reyna confessed to agents that he had used Kik since 2018 and that he viewed child pornography while on Kik. Reyna stated that he thought if the child in question was 15 years old or older that it was fine because he was only 18 years old at the time,” the plea agreement states.
Reyna further stated that he mainly used Kik on the iPhone7. He confessed he knew the minors in the child porn videos were younger than 18 years old and some as young as 13 years old. Reyna added that he shared child porn with another Kik user at least one time. But he did not remember how many videos of child porn he ultimately shared, according to court documents.
“A forensic extraction of the Apple iPhone 7 revealed 50 video files and 14 image files that contained child pornography. A forensic extraction of the Apple iPhone 11 revealed one video file and two image files that contained child pornography,” states the plea agreement.

An illegal website that features thousands of sexually explicit images of Australian school girls has re-emerged online just over a week after it was shut down.
The Australian based platform was set up in December 2015 and encourages men to share or trade raunchy photos obtained with or without permission of students as young as 14-years-old from high schools and universities across the country.
