I remember my high school days, 1967-1970. The girls would wear mini skirts and mini dresses in the middle of winter when it was 20 degrees below. Back then the girls were thin and modest. What a great time to go to high school.
This comment disturbs me on many different levels, as a female.
1st picture appears to show a Cali license plate from the 1990 Series
Scary how many of today's kids would NOT understand what the boy was grabbing off the wall was a TELEPHONE on (the next to the last) photo. I remember hearing some W&M college kids in a VA Target I was working in saying something about "mom was telling me that phones had a cord...like no waaay" I turned to them and said yeah, "and a rotary dial" (which I had to explain...remember I said these are COLLEGE kids) and then I told them "TV had 3 channels and TV went OFF!" I had to explain "...and the home of the brave! beeeeeeeep ...CLICK!"
I think this is a little much. I don't know, perhaps Virginia is an exception. I'm pretty sure MOST PARENTS, grandparents, and at the VERY LEAST schools of today talk to children about the phones and TV's (and cars, appliances, homes etc.) of the past...this is not a bold and CRAZZZY topic. It's few that interest both children and adults alike.
