My DS has swimming lessons at the local pool. Afterwards, he likes to have a shower. Would you or your daughters be offended if a six year old boy was naked in the shower? He occasionally is if he has taken off his wetsuit after using the toliet. It does not bother him, he is not self-consious at all, and I don't want him to be yet.
At 6 years old, not at all. I think maybe around 8 or 9 it may be a bit uncomfortable then, but not at 6. A child is a child whether male or female, it doesn't matter either way.
Six year olds are too young to go in the male changing rooms alone, so no it wouldn'y worry me at all.
I doubt I'd even notice. Wouldn't worry me in the slightest.
I wouldn't mind at all, however some people might. My daughter takes her cozzie off in the shower after swimming so would you be ok with your son in this situation?

the swimming pool around here doesn't have separate changing or shower facilities but you keep your costume on in the communal ones.

Not that they said or did anything to make me feel like that I did feel a little embarrassed when DS, again naked, was in the shower near a rather large lady, also naked. But he didn't seem even to notice her, and the lady didn't seem to either. Maybe the embarrassment is all mine!
I wouldn't care but my almost 8 year old girl wouldn't be happy!! She would avoid looking at him but would be really freaked out at the thought of him looking at her (not that im suggesting he would). I don't know why she is like that with strangers, she is happy to be naked at home and her Daddy is German so quite happy to get his kit off most places!!!!
6 is fine but I think most places say that at 8+ they need to use same gender changing rooms unless there is a family changing room you could use. To be honest what annoys me is the teenagers who use the family change so that they can fondle in the shower! But maybe I'm an old fuddy duddy!!

Me too!! I cant help it I hate it, obviously sometimes it cant be avoided, but these women who just wander around with it all on display!!! eerrggh no ..not for me! As for 6 year old boy, honestly if anyone has an issue with that - its exactly that - their issue. I cant see anything wrong with that. My boys are 3.5 and they go to swimming lessons every week, they do have a shower after but they keep their swimming trunks on. Its not something I have enforced though they have just never taken them off - if they wanted to shower naked they could - I wouldnt have a problem with it.
