YouTuber And Minecraft Streamer Technoblade, 23, Dies From Cancer


YouTuber and Minecraft streamer Technoblade has died at the age of 23 after a year-long battle with stage four cancer.

The content creator, from San Francisco, who kept his identity closely guarded and only revealed his name in his final video as 'Alex', shot to fame after he began posting videos of himself playing Minecraft on YouTube back in 2013 - eventually going on to amass more than 10 million subscribers.

He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in August. He had spent the majority of the year away from the media while undergoing chemotherapy.

It is unknown what kind of cancer Alex had. Homeshare.info He went on to raise funds to support sarcoma charities. In December, he revealed that he had been able to have surgery to remove the tumor in his arm.

Technoblade's YouTube channel uploaded a video today entitled "So long nerds", in which his father, who was not identified, shared the heartbreaking news and a posthumous farewell from the YouTube legend.

He called his son "the most amazing child" and shared an audio recording of his son. He said that if he had another hundred lives, he would choose to be Technoblade once more because those were the best years of my life.

Technoblade, who was very private and rarely shared any personal details, mostly posted videos about the sandbox video game Minecraft.

He had three younger sisters and a brother named Chris, as well as a dog called Floof, who featured in his farewell video alongside his father.

In one video, he said that his parents had divorced and that they lived together. His father owns a movie studio.

After graduating high school, he took a gap-year before moving to Chicago to study English.

He returned to San Francisco, however, after dropping out.

In one of his videos, he explained how he created the Tecnoblade channel for the sole purpose of gaining confidence and getting 10 million subscribers.

He quickly built up a huge following and shared many clips of himself playing Minecraft. However, he never revealed the identity of his fans.

In August, however, he shared the shocking news that he had been diagnosed with cancer in a video called "Where have you been" which has been viewed 13,000,000 times.

In the video, he revealed to fans that he was diagnosed as having cancer after believing he had suffered an arm injury.

Thinking it was a stress injury due to his ongoing gaming, he took a few days off - before realizing it wasn't going away.
