YouTube is banning channels that deny the existence of the patriarchy

On March 8th 2022. YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki announced she will update the community guidelines regarding hate speech to protect women from harassment.
Wojcicki being a vocal supporter of the feminist movement, she announced plans to remove videos that denied the existence of the patriarchy and/or the male privilege.
At YouTube, we aim to create a vibrant and diverse environment where viewers and creators can express themselves without fear of hate and harassment. Unfortunately, patriarchy is alive and well, and there are creators who undermine women rights by denying the existence of the patriarchy and the male privilege.
Today being the International Women's Day, we are happy to show our support to women around the world by curbing problematic content such as patriarchy denial videos, men rights advocacy videos, and other mysogynistic content.

Criticism
Content creators were quick to criticize Wojcicki's new rules for suppressing free speech. However, the YouTube CEO's decision was not a surprise to the community as the latest criticized decision was the removal of the dislike button.

Despite the backlash Wojcicki received, the Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt has congratulated Wojcicki for the decision to "protect women".
In the 21st century, women have been in greater danger than ever in the history of humanity. Hundreds of thousands of women are being harassed, assassinated, and sexually assaulted on a daily basis.
In the same way Holocaust denial endangers the Jewish community, Patriarchy denial endangers the feminist community by encouraging right-wing extremists to kill women.
We, at ADL, are happy to see people like Susan Wojcicki taking action against femicide, and we expect the new community guidelines to help the number of femicides drop in the foreseeable future. Thank you Wojcicki.
