We’re looking for a full-time YouTube video editor to join our remote team.
This is a production role built around clear editing frameworks, templates, and workflows. You won’t need to reinvent the process for every client. Your focus will be producing clean, engaging videos and improving your speed and consistency over time.
Our editing style is simple, intentional, and designed to help the speaker shine. If you’re looking for full creative freedom on every video, fast cuts, constant motion graphics, or attention-grabbing effects, this probably isn’t the right fit.
THE ROLE
You will edit long-form and short-form content for our clients’ YouTube channels.
Raw footage may include talking-head videos, Zoom recordings, podcasts, webinars, and screen shares. Your job is to turn that footage into polished, well-paced videos that reflect each client’s brand, voice, and goals.
You’ll work closely with our internal team using clear brand guidelines, references, templates, and feedback.
Strong editorial judgment, storytelling instincts, and attention to detail are still essential. The system provides the framework, but your decisions are what make the final video effective.
This is a contractor position with fixed compensation of $2,000 USD per month.
You’re not just making videos look better. You’re helping our clients show up professionally, build authority, and become worth listening to.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Edit long-form YouTube videos, typically around 20 minutes, into clear and engaging final cuts
* Remove filler, tighten pacing, and improve clarity while preserving the client’s voice
* Add on-screen text, light motion graphics, b-roll, screen recordings, and music where appropriate
* Create short clips from long-form videos when requested
* Ensure correct formatting, resolution, audio levels, captions, and other technical details
* Follow client-specific templates, brand guidelines, and editing preferences
* Implement feedback accurately and efficiently
* Manage multiple client projects while meeting deadlines
* Communicate clearly about timelines, priorities, and capacity
* Maintain organized project files and workflows
*Our Account Manager will act as the liaison between editors and clients.
SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE
* Videos are delivered on time and meet quality standards
* Editing time averages approximately five hours per long-form video, including shorts
* Videos are clean, well-paced, and easy to follow
* Each edit reflects the client’s tone, brand, and positioning
* Revisions decrease as you learn the systems and client preferences
* You estimate turnaround times accurately and flag overload early
* The internal team trusts your consistency, communication, and judgment
* Clients receive polished videos that strengthen their authority
REQUIREMENTS
* 2+ years of professional video editing experience
* Strong experience using Adobe Premiere Pro
* YouTube editing experience strongly preferred
* Excellent written and spoken English communication
* Strong pacing, storytelling, and editorial instincts
* High attention to detail across audio, visuals, captions, and formatting
* Ability to follow processes, templates, and brand standards consistently
* Comfort working across repeatable workflows and multiple clients
* Ability to manage several projects without deadlines slipping
