To clear things up, it seems the complaints previous reviewers have made regarding playback issues is exclusive to the DVD. My Blu-Ray has absolutely no issues-- however, there's still a lot left to be desired. The transfer is just passable. I wouldn't go as far as to call it DVD, but the image isn't as sharp as the Japanese Blu-ray. At times it's a bit blurry. Even Japanese Blu-ray rips, have better quality than this release. My Japanese set blows both out of the water however. A bigger complaint, is that while there's extras on disc one: a picture slideshow (with some really nice art), there aren't any extras for disc two. There are no credit-less opening and ending extras unfortunately. I don't understand why, since the Japanese release has both. There was absolutely no effort put into this release, it's bare bones. The disc art is really nice however, the image I took doesn't do it justice-- colors are bright and vibrant, almost inky like a fresh coat of paint was laid down. Yosuga No Sora, is a fantastic anime adaptation of the visual novel. It's highly underappreciated. I do recommend a buy, as it's the cheapest way to own the series.

Fantastic Anime / Mediocre Blu-Ray

By Darling Suicide on August 8, 2020

I read the horror stories of the dvd version, thankfully they seem to have redeemed themselves with the blu ray. I had pre ordered this back in January they messed up their deadline and I got mine almost 3 weeks after the original release date. At first I feared they ran out of marker writing bluray on their burns, but enough sarcasm. Not sure how the dvd menu was this each disc has 2 heroine arcs disc 1 has over 5 minutes of extras of the heroines in various poses etc. I really wish class president would have gotten an arc but this was still one great VN to anime despite the controversial twincest prevalent in arc 4 Soras arc. Both video and audio are gorgeous and clear my only minor complaint would be if you want to skip op. song you pass 3+ minutes of show so you'll have to FF instead, but I've seen much worse skipping to halfway or more on some. Hope this helps anyone who got burned on dvd (pun not intended) this version is well worth it and I hope to see more great VN to anime in this style. Tried to upload a pic with tablet camera I hope that is helpful though the camera isn't very good.

Great VN to anime

By Thadius on March 12, 2017

This is THE most tear-jerking anime that I have ever seen in my entire life. Almost no movie or TV show has ever brought tears to my eyes. The story, the characters' individual backstories, the soundtrack. All that put together is so lovely. The finale was so sweet and tender, it actually had me crying for maybe about a half-hour, and I am not at all ashamed to say that. Yosuga no Sora: In Solitude Where We Are At Least Alone will melt your heart, as long as you can keep an open mind to all the content within the story of this anime.

The most tear-jerking anime I've ever seen

By Christopher Kramme on May 7, 2017

A great title if you can get through the last arc. At bit intense. Otherwise the art and music are sublime

I am only holding back from giving a 1 star because I don't think the product is bad it is simply the content. This anime is not good and may actually leave you wishing you listened to all the people who told you not to watch it. Buy it if you want but ypu have been warned.

I had to buy 2 copies to get a complete set of episodes. The 1st was missing 7-9, and I arranged to return it for a replacement. When that arrived, it was missing 5 and 6. This was a gift so I felt I had to buy both to make it complete. I don't like paying double because of poor quality control by the manufacturer.

10/10 Wholesome Christian anime for the whole family.

Haruka and Sora Kasugano are coming home, to a place filled with memories.
Having lost their parents in a tragic car accident, the twins resolve to return to the countryside and start life anew at their grandfather’s house, the haunt a constant reminder of moments from their past. Greeting them are childhood friends Nao Yorihime and Akira Amatsume, and newcomer Kazuha Migiwa. It is a warm welcome, symbolic of the days that should come.
Their peace is merely ephemeral, however, as suppressed emotions, born from vows both newfound and forgotten, start exerting their influence on the twins’ new lives. And deep down, a dark secret, only known to them, begins to unshackle.
Based on the visual novel by Sphere, Yosuga no Sora not only explores the power of lost memories and true love when the bonds of many become intertwined, but also raises the questions of morality and social acceptance.

Augmented Reality Girls Trinary (2017)

Yosuga no Sora ( Japanese : ヨスガノソラ , lit. "Sky of Connection") is a Japanese romance/drama adult visual novel developed by CUFFS ("Sphere"). The game was originally released for Windows on December 5, 2008. [1] It was adapted into a serialized manga and an anime television series. A sequel/fan disk titled Haruka na Sora was released later on October 24, 2009, which contains new and expanded scenarios for several characters from the original game. [2]

Tragically orphaned by a car accident, the Kasugano twins travel to their grandparents' countryside residence via railcar, hoping to reconstruct the shards of a shattered life. Two lonely souls so physically alike, yet spiritually divergent, they are unaware of the challenges these conflicting expectations will unveil in the days to come. Uncertain of the future, Haruka Kasugano clings to memories of the past, hoping to find the strength he needs to protect his ailing sister. As the story develops, it tells four stories, each with one girl; Kazuha Migiwa: rich but kind, Akira Amatsume: polite but sad, Nao Yorihime: depressed but hopeful, Sora Kasugano: petite but fierce.

The game was originally released for Windows PC on December 5, 2008. [1] A sequel/fan disk titled Haruka na Sora was released later on October 24, 2009, which contains full scenarios for Kozue and Yahiro, an expansion to Sora's story from the original game, and additional bonus material. [2]

Yosuga no Sora was adapted into a 12-episode anime series that started airing on October 4, 2010. Each episode consists of a 22-minute feature segment and a 3-minute omake segment. The main plot of the anime is presented in a multi-arc branching format that independently tells the stories of Kazuha, Akira, Nao, and Sora while sharing certain common episodes. The title of each episode incorporates the names of the characters it concerns. The bonus segment focuses on Motoka's story, relying more extensively on humor and super deformed character designs. Each segment has its own ending credit sequence in each episode. The anime's opening theme is " Hiyoku no Hane "-(比翼の羽根) by eufonius , and the ending themes are " Tsunagukizuna "-(ツナグキズナ) by Nekocan feat. Junca Amaoto, and " Pinky Jones "-(ピンキー・ジョーンズ) by Momoiro Clover .

The first volume of the series was released by King Records for DVD and Blu-ray Disc formats on December 22, 2010, and the final fourth volume was released on March 26, 2011, with a limited edition Blu-ray Disc, including the stuffed toy strap of Sora Kasugano. [3]

The series premiered on Toku in the United States on December 31, 2015.

(In brackets are the episode numbers for each arc, e.g. (A3) is the third episode in Akira's arc. Legend: A-Akira, K-Kazuha, N-Nao, S-Sora.)

There are 5 Drama CDs: 2 released with the purchase of the original visual novel "Yosuga no Sora" from stores Sofmap and Messe Sanoh, 1 released with the pre-ordering of its Fan Disc "Haruka na Sora", and 2 released with the purchase of the Blu-ray volumes 2 and 4 of its anime adaptation.
