Test worked fine but it didn't show me my yo score! Everytime I click track yo score it closes the app down! I'd give it another star if this was fixed. All good showing the msc score but without the yo its not really helpful

My wife and I are doing IVF. When the time came for me to produce, all of the little guys were dead. It was a huge step back. Sperm has a life cycle of around 74 day max in Male testies. Instead of waiting months to see my specialist, I looked for a sperm testing kit. This was the only one I found. I took two tests two weeks apart showing active and mobile sperm. The quantity was less than 6 million, however it only takes 1 sperm to fertalize an egg. Today, at my urology specialist I showed home and the trainee the two videos. He absolutely concluded that I have enough sperm to get one of the 4cfrozen eggs pregnant. I would reccomend this test to anybody that has doubts about their sperm count and whether they are active or not.
Beyond frustrating. Not only did the first slide not take the sample (appeared to have glue blocking the way), but the mobile app (Samsung Galaxy S6) would crash after testing. Forcing you to restart. Eventually used the second slide provided and it filled properly. However the app continued to crash. (There is a 30 minute window where to have an optimal sample). I tried to get online and download the PC version, eventually I figured out how to download the PC version...however, the sample had expired by that point. Not only did I lose the money for the kit, both slides were no longer useful, nor could I even get an effective test. *Will re-review if I receive a response to make it right.
I've included two images that both came back in the normal range. The second image is post HRT with a very noticeable difference in density and mobility (in video at least). Interface was via PC.
It seemed to work for me. (I used the PC version). It confirmed that my count was still low, but the answers, (like anything that doesn’t come from a doctors mouth) we’re not conclusive, and did not offer any assurance. The cost of the refills is very disappointing. $45 for two slides, a flimsy cup and a dash of powder? Unbelievable. I guess this would be fun for your typical guy who wants to see his “little swimmers”, but not for someone wanting to monitor their fertility.
We've been experiencing some delays in conceiving, and wanted to begin the process of investigating different factors, without going to the emotional and financial stress of hardcore fertility testing. We've had one very healthy child with an uneventful pregnancy, but waited several years to try again because of various unforeseen life circumstances, and then got pregnant last year without trying, but had to end the pregnancy after discovering in the 2nd trimester he was no longer viable. We tried again but it took 6 months to conceive. Sadly that one ended in a chemical pregnancy very early on, and it's been another 6 months of carefully planning with ovulation strips and BBT testing galore, with no positive pregnancy. My husband is a decade older than me so our doctor suggested we test his sperm because issues with sperm are easier to check for than issues with a woman's fertility. She said we could even look at some home tests just to get us started. After researching quite a few options, we decided on this one. It was also FSA-eligble, so we figured we didn't have much to lose even if it turned out not to work well. I recommend both partners read the directions very closely ahead of time. We didn't read that you're supposed to stir the mixture one last time before adding to the test slide, or else it can be too diluted/ settled, and give a false low. Whoops! We knew at that point that if we got a low, we'd try again a few days later. After researching ahead of time, we decided to add the app to a laptop rather than a phone or tablet because many had fewer technical issues that way. We experienced the opposite. Instead of taking a video with the device and measuring that way, it took a video using our laptop camera and did come back low. We quickly ran it again as it was within the recommend time limit before sperm begins to lose some of its oomph, but ran it on my husband's phone this time, and it worked this time and showed us a video of his little swimmers, which was pretty neat. We were able to compare it to other videos of active sperm in terms of measuring and it seemed to coincide with the results of the app. Just to be safe, we tried it again a week later and the results were the exact same, with everything in normal range. While it's not as accurate as getting tested via official labs, this gave us some peace of mind that we at least weren't dealing with low motility/ low sperm count, etc. It does put a bit more pressure on me, but honestly, I think with our losses and general life stress, we've just been in a bad place mentally and I am working on combating that. My doctor and acupuncturist tell me the fact that I fell pregnant twice in the span of about 12 months means I'm probably either just stressing too much, or am dealing with low progesterone, both of which can be combated, so we are working on addressing both (progesterone was within normal range, but measured a bit lower than my doctor would like to see when trying to conceive, so she is having me use a 20mg cream every night on days 18 - 1st day of next cycle to bring up my levels a bit, and I am working on stress relieving strategies and positive thinking with my doctor and acupuncturist, and taking fertility herbs with my acupuncturist). Hoping for a BFP and sticky baby dust soon!
A doctor recommended we use this instead of coming in for a test (Covid). Boy, was that a mistake! You get absolute garbage data. It tests motility, and that's it. Then it doesn't even give you the actual count. It simply says if you're over or under the low quantity. You can hunt through menus to get an estimate on your count, but again, far too little information. THEN if you want to do follow up tests, you're spending an arm and a leg for about $0.01 in chemicals and $0.02 for a blank slide. This product is garbage. Go see a medical expert and get a full test done. This is not a replacement.
Worked 100%, the video is very helpful gives you peace of mind that you're not getting a false positive. you can see them with your own eyes.
I like that you get a video and you can actually see the sperm and get the reassurance that there's actual movement and not just a verdict

Not good when using the mobile app. Zero support from the company.
Mobile app does not work. It freezes halfway through testing. Another company that doesn't bother replying to emails for support.
Didnt work, the sample would not go into the diamond shaped slide at all despite repeated attempts. Customer support zero points...

Übertrifft unsere Erwartungen
Aufgrund unseres bisher leider unerfüllten Kinderwunsches wollten wir, um keine Zeit zu verlieren, die Spermienqualität meines Mannes testen. Die Lieferung ging schneller als erwartet. Gerät funktioniert einwandfrei. Es ist kompatibel mit allen Androidgeräten und PC's durch den USB-/ aufsteckbaren microUSB-Anschluss. Die Anleitung ist mit guten Englischkenntnissen problemlos verständlich, das Programm leitet einen aber auch mit einer bebilderten Anleitung genau durch den Test. Die Vorgehensweise ist deutlich einfacher als bei anderen Tests. Einfach Pulver zur Verflüssigung in die Probe geben und nach 10 min. Wartezeit die Flüssigkeit mit der Pipette in den Objektträger geben. Dieser wird dann in das Gerät geschoben und durch die App ausgewertet. Im Ergebnis gibt das Programm eine grobe Einschätzung der Spermienanzahl (ob größer oder kleiner als 6Mio/ml) und - Beweglichkeit (Scorewert). Es bringt erstaunlich klare Bilder und ist auf jeden Fall sehr interessant für eine erste Einschätzung der Spermaqualität von zu Hause aus. Wir hatten vorher einen anderen Test gemacht, bei dem nur die Menge gemessen wird. Anhand der Färbung des Tests musste dort die Spermienanzahl abgeschätzt werden. Laut diesem wären bei meinem Mann gar keine Spermien vorhanden gewesen, was uns schon wirklich große Sorgen bereitete. Bei diesem Test hier konnten wir sie mit eigenen Augen auf Video sehen, kein Rätselraten. Es sind zwei Testkits dabei, diese kann man bei Bedarf auch nachbestellen. Wir sind sehr erleichtert über das Ergebnis, aber auch wenn dieses nicht so gut ausgefallen wäre, hat man schon eine grobe Einschätzung, mit der man sich dann beim Urologen vorstellen kann, um genauere Untersuchungen durchführen zu lassen. Wir hätten niemals so eine super Qualität erwartet und können das Gerät für diesen Preis voll empfehlen.

Eigentlich null Sterne
Die Kamera zeigt kein einziges Spermium an, hab es dann gleich danach mit einem Hobbbymikroskope untersucht und da waren jede Menge bewegliche Spermien zu sehen. Diese Testkit taugt leider gar nix! Finger weg.

In cases of infertility, the man is a contributing factor in 50% of cases. A Semen Analysis is conducted to test a man’s sperm count (Concentration), moving sperm (Motility), normally shaped sperm (Morphology), and other parameters. One of the most important factors in achieving a pregnancy is the number of Motile Sperm in the sample. If the sperm cannot swim to the egg, natural pregnancy is not possible. The YO Home Sperm Test analyzes your Motile Sperm Concentration (how many are moving) and Sperm Quality (YO Score) and compares your results to laboratory standards and to other men who have fathered children. You will also receive a video recording of your sample as part of the YO Test. Here is some more detail on each result and the reference ranges for Normal vs. Abnormal:
YO RESULT #1: MOTILE SPERM CONCENTRATION
Sperm cells need to move forward to reach the egg during normal conception. YO first reports if your Motile Sperm Concentration (MSC) is above or below a “Normal Range” of 6 Million Motile Sperm per Milliliter. The “Normal Range” of 6 Million Motile Sperm is calculated by multiplying the World Health Organization (WHO) reference value for Sperm Concentration (15 million) times the normal reference range for Sperm Motility (40%). 15 million x 40% = 6 million. Although only one sperm cell is needed to fertilize an egg, 6 million Motile Sperm per Milliliter is the cut-off or “threshold,” which determines the diagnosis of Low vs. Moderate/Normal MSC.
YO Score is a ranking of your Motile Sperm Concentration (MSC) compared to other men who have fathered children. The result is 10 to 90 in intervals of 10. If your score is 20, you rank above 20% of fathers. If your score is 90, you rank above 90% of fathers. The higher your YO Score, the more likely you are to achieve a pregnancy in a shorter amount of time. YO Score is a reliable tool for monitoring MSC changes over time and the cornerstone of the fertility improvement tools contained in the YO Application.
As part of the YO Home Sperm Test, you will receive a recorded video of your sample. The video offers a clear visual reference to complement your MSC and YO Score results.
