That problem is solved now (pressing cmd while starting the game) But can't find the option to switch to war of the chosen. Like switching between enemy unknow or unemy within in xcom.
I would like to do a playthrough using the long war of the chosen as the central mod but wanted some more enemy and class mods (not as much interested in voice packs or cosmetics) to go along with it. I have 2000 hours in Xcom 2, including Vanilla, Long War and War of The Chosen. War of the Chosen is better than the base game, however I would still recommend playing the base game first. Some War of The Chosen mechanics comes with some assumed knowledge, and could easily be overwhelming to a new player.

ok, so I bought war of the chosen, and the main screen is different. but when I start the game I seem to be gettign the same start as XCOM2, the plant c4 mission is still the same statue as before. Am I doing something wrong?

Long War of the Chosen is a port of the original Long War 2 mod by Pavonis Interactive to XCOM 2's War of the Chosen expansion. It is a complete overhaul of the vanilla game that attempts to make campaigns more engaging, longer and more challenging.
Chosen have a ton of HP, and cannot be controlled. If other enemies are active, you will want to kill them first, and your squad will be unable to focus on the Chosen. What all this means is that you need to isolate the Chosen, and this is very achievable because you get to eliminate one enemy pod before a Chosen appears.
