When you search an error message on google, wrap it in quotes. This tells google to search for an exact match. Otherwise it'll just look for synonyms and related terms.
If you want google to show results from a specific site use: site:YourSiteHere followed by the search term
e.g. site:stackoverflow.com yourSearchTermHere
You can exclude stuff from the results by using the minus sign:
e.g. Don't return results using jquery: how to grab an element from the dom -jquery
To ensure you don't get information from obsolete sources, use the "after" keyword: 'tableViews after:2020'
This is handy when maintaining a legacy project:
'yourSearchTermHere before:2020'
You can even add a third thing like so:
(A|B)C
You also have the wildcard option (an asterisk) which stands for "ALL".
e.g.
How to build * with css
In the example below you can find all the subdomains of a website:
site:*fireship.io -www
You may also want a specific filetype:
filetype:pdf
Find competitor websites to the one you are looking at:
related:url
related:angular.io
cache:url
cache:yourWebsiteHere.com`(you will see your website the way google sees it)
Exhausted my GoogleFu, need to make more advanced Google Form help?
The goto subreddit for Google Cloud Platform developers and enthusiasts.
I need to make a form that allows users to fill in information but be given information in response to questions and have more login than the limited "go to section based on" logic that Google Forms has. I have to do this within the Google ecosystem because thats all the hosting I can use. Is there a way to do this with Google Apps scripts and sheets or with Google Sites? I just need a little more flexibility than Google forms has and any tips in the right direction would really help me.
I'm not sure if this is overkill, but have you looked at App Sheet? https://www.appsheet.com/
Unfortunately I am not able to pay for it at this time because I dont have a budget for work yet, I also know that we have a whole bunch of people who will each use it once at a time but the user limit means the trial wont get me there. :( Thank you though I am sure it could do it. I am hoping to find something like forms that can be hosted on a google site which does meet my needs in the free tier or maybe even firebase which is google too but a little above my head at the moment. I have done a hello world situation with it but thats it.
