A malicious app "Study The Great Nation" has quickly becomes the most downloaded app in China.
The app superficially posted Xi's news, and acted as an examination tool for journalists in China on their knowledge of Xi Jinping.
An examination of the coding of the apps showed that it granted administrator-level access to the user phone. “It can take over the entire device, and it could be sending back information.” said Adam Lynn, the Open Technology Fund’s research director.
Over 100 million users private data are exposed to the Chinese Communist Party through this app, including message, photo and internet history.
