Secret Heroes return in XCOM 2 . Replacing soldier names unlocks unique, and powerful, new characters that completely overwrite their predecessors. Scroll down to learn what names are in, and why they’re so important.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown introduced the world to unique heroes, and XCOM 2 brings that feature back for anyone looking to earn an easy victory. Like in the previous XCOM , summoning a super soldier locks all achievement progress like any other cheat. Basically, these insanely over-powered characters are just for fun. If you want to cut a bloody swathe of destruction through normally difficult encounters, then check out how to get the secret heroes with all the info below.

By replacing the first and last names (or nickname) of a soldier, you can create a Super Soldier. The appearance will change and lock customization, even changing classes and abilities to give you an unfair advantage.
WARNING : Entering these names and unlocking the corresponding secret heroes disables Steam achievements.
Currently, there are only three Secret Heroes in XCOM 2 . Here’s the quick list, for more details, check out the full explanations below.
Replace any soldier’s name with the ones listed below to create a cheat character. All names are case sensitive.
Sid Meier needs no introductions, but we’ll give him one anyway. The man behind Sid Meier’s Civilization is forever linked with the developer of XCOM 2 , Firaxis Games . He is a legendary developer and producer, with a long list of unique games under his belt.
To show how smart he his, Sid Meier spawns as a Psi Operative with devastatingly powerful abilities that can wipe out pods of aliens in a single turn.
The heroic UN official of XCOM: Enemy Unknown returns in XCOM 2 . This NPC appears in a Council Mission where he needs to be rescued.
His distinctive, gung-ho dialogue was delightful enough to make this completely nondescript NPC memorable. So memorable, in fact, that he made his in-game playable appearance before XCOM 2 .
Thanks to modders, Peter Van Doorn was imported into the playable roster of XCOM: Enemy Unknown where he retained the same face and voice clips. Now he’s officially made it.
Of course, none of that would’ve happened if it weren’t for a certain XCOM commander — Beaglerush.
Unlike the other two Super Soldier names, this one only works in the nickname slot. The other two names do not matter. Beaglerush will only become a hero for a SGT class or above, after the soldier has unlocked the ability to use a nickname.
Beaglerush is a prolific XCOM streamer. He started the XCOM: Ironman Impossible Youtube series, moving on to Enemy Within and the XCOM: Long War mod.

Go into a soldiers customization menu then the character info menu and enter these names. This works only in Single Player campaign and disables achievements.
To activate the console, you must first add the following as a command line parameter to XCOM 2: -allowconsole Rightclick the XCOM 2 shortcut, select properties and add it at the end of the "Target"-field so that it looks something like this: "C:\Games\XCOM 2\Binaries\Win64\XCom2.exe" -allowconsole If using Steam, rightclick the game in your Library, select Properties and add it under "Set launch options". Open the console in-game using the ~ button (the usual button for console). Note: For the following commands, replace # with a number.

XCOM 2 isn’t your standard game. You can’t go in guns blazing and hope for the best. It’s about tactics, smarts and outflanking your alien scum enemy at the end of the day. And mastering those battlefield basics will only keep you alive for so long. You’re going to need some real muscle to turn the tide of battle. Experienced soldiers who know where to aim and have the skills to pay the bills.
And there’s an easy way to get that advantage early on in XCOM 2. By renaming your soldiers, you can give your troopers a power-up that will have the Greys running for cover. It’s easy enough to do so, and these titans can be recruited for free. So what’s the catch? Put simply, there’ll be no challenge if you have these heroes in your squad.
For most of the game, Hero soldiers can easily take out entire maps of enemies on their own, which kind of ruins the fun of having a small army of custom troops who are ready to die in battle for you, provided that the killbots coming after you have an automatic reset function when they reach their kill limit. So yeah, buyer be warned.
There’s only been a handful of Heroes discovered so far. I’ll update this list as more are uncovered.
The legend returns. The titan of game design has survived his first tour of duty in 2012’s XCOM game, and is back to kick some more alien ass. Psycho Sid Meier rolls into XCOM 2 with every single Psionic skill available to him, high Psi stats and massively-advanced armour and weapons.
The story of Peter Van Doorn began back in the last XCOM game, where his character would spout various lines such as “You the Ops team? Get over here!” or “Get down here! Not fair if I have all the fun” at MAXIMUM VOLUME during a rescue mission. Louder and more brash than ever before, Van Doorn is an Assault Build Ranger Colonel who can use powerful Conceal and Rapid Fire scout skills to wreak havoc behind enemy lines.
He’s also outfitted with the best gear around and can move like grease lightning when he needs to. “Come on! I won’t go down without a fight!”
XCOM’s greatest streamer is back. The master of the XCOM: Ironman Impossible YouTube series can only be unlocked by inputting his nickname into XCOM 2, but doing so unlocks a particularly powerful ally.

Fatal is my top Specialist I believe. My other Ranger, also quite Killy Killy and who teams up with Broxigar…is Shogun!! And for those who do not know Broxigar…he makes Varock Saurfang look like a little kitten!
