Xavfsiz Talaba: A New Step Towards a Safer Learning Environment
As part of efforts to implement the directives of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, work is underway to introduce modern mechanisms for ensuring student safety across higher education institutions.
The Xavfsiz Talaba (Safe Student) initiative, being implemented in cooperation with the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Science, and other relevant authorities, aims to strengthen campus safety, improve monitoring mechanisms, and prevent violations before they occur.
The initiative focuses on five key priorities:
- Student safety — protecting students’ lives, health, rights, and legitimate interests;
- Attendance monitoring — improving attendance tracking through digital solutions;
- Prevention of violations — addressing potential risks and promoting legal awareness among students;
- Campus security — maintaining public order and ensuring a safe and supportive university environment;
- Emergency response mechanisms — enabling students to request timely assistance and communicate with relevant services in critical situations.
At Cyber University, student safety, a supportive campus environment, and the prevention of violations remain key institutional priorities. Particular emphasis is placed on improving safety measures, strengthening preventive approaches, and fostering legal awareness and personal responsibility among students.
Guided by the principle “Safe Campus — Safe Student,” these efforts aim to create a secure, stable, and supportive learning environment where every student feels protected and can focus on academic achievement and professional development.
