X Plus Privacy Policy

X Plus (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides the X Plus application (the “App”).

About the App

X Plus is an independent, unofficial messaging client for Android based on the Telegram API.

It is not created, sponsored, endorsed, certified, or affiliated with Telegram. Your use of Telegram services through the App is also subject to Telegram’s own policies:

Information Collection and Use

The App processes information necessary to provide Telegram features and the functions you choose to use. This may include your Telegram account information, such as your phone number, user ID, username, profile name, profile photo, and other information available through the Telegram API.

When you use the App, messages, media, files, calls, groups, channels, reactions, drafts, and related information are processed on your device and transmitted to Telegram and the users, groups, channels, bots, mini apps, or services you choose to interact with.

Telegram controls the storage and processing of Telegram account data, cloud chats, contacts, media, and other information stored on its platform. Please review Telegram’s Privacy Policy for details.

We do not use the content of your private messages, media, contacts, or calls for advertising or analytics.

Contacts, Location, and Permissions

If you grant contact permission, the App may access names and phone numbers from your device address book to help you find people you know on Telegram, display contacts, and start conversations. Contact access is optional, and you can manage or revoke it through Android settings.

If you choose to share a location or Live Location, Telegram may process and display it to the users with whom you choose to share it. You can stop sharing location and revoke location permission at any time.

The App may request permissions for contacts, camera, microphone, photos, videos, files, storage, location, nearby devices, Bluetooth, and notifications only when needed for a feature you choose to use. Denying a permission may prevent the related feature from working.

Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services that may collect and process information for analytics, advertising, crash reporting, security, and App functionality.

These services may process device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, device model, Android version, App version, language, app interactions, diagnostics, crash logs, and general usage data.

Each service processes information according to its own privacy policy and terms.

Advertising, Analytics, and Log Data

The App uses AdMob to display advertisements. Google Mobile Ads may collect information such as IP address, advertising identifiers, device and account identifiers, app interactions, and diagnostic information for advertising, analytics, measurement, and fraud prevention.

Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your device settings, consent choices, location, and applicable law. Where required by law, consent will be requested before using personalized advertising or optional analytics features that require consent.

Firebase Analytics may collect information about App usage, including App launches, feature interactions, session information, device information, and technical diagnostics.

Firebase Crashlytics may collect crash reports, stack traces, device state, App version, operating system version, and related diagnostic information to identify and fix technical issues.

How Information Is Used and Shared

Information is used to provide Telegram features, authenticate and maintain your session, show advertisements, improve App performance, analyze usage, prevent fraud or abuse, and fix technical problems.

Information may be shared with Telegram, Google, Firebase, AdMob, other service providers used by the App, and the users or services you choose to interact with.

Content posted in public groups or channels may be visible to the public.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data Retention and Deletion

The App may store session information, local databases, cached messages, downloaded media, files, thumbnails, and preferences on your device.

Local data may remain on your device until you log out, clear the App’s cache or storage, delete downloaded files, or uninstall the App. Media saved to your gallery or shared storage may need to be deleted separately.

Telegram determines the retention of Telegram account data, messages, contacts, media, and other information stored on its platform. Third-party providers retain data according to their own privacy policies.

X Plus does not create a separate account outside of your Telegram account. Logging out, clearing App data, or uninstalling the App does not delete your Telegram account.

Security and Your Rights

We take reasonable measures to protect information processed through the App. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

You can manage App permissions through Android settings, manage Telegram privacy settings within the App, control advertising preferences through Android settings, or uninstall the App.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy of personal information directly held by us. Requests relating to Telegram account or cloud data should be made through Telegram’s privacy and account tools.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when App features, third-party services, data practices, or legal requirements change. Updates will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
