X Factor's Same Difference were a fun loving pop duo who stormed to success on the ITV talent show. Here we take a look at what they have been up to since they split seven years after they were catapulted into the spotlight on the show
X Factor pop duo Same Difference burst onto our screens in 2007 when siblings Sean and Sarah Smith teamed up for the ITV talent competition.
And after clearly making a impression on the tween crowd they exited the show in respectable third place and launched them into the pop bubble with a string of music releases.
But after hitting the limelight as a duo and performing to fans across the country they spent seven years together before pursuing solo projects.
So what's happened to the fun loving (some times nauseatingly happy) siblings of Same Difference fame? Let's find out...
Sean Smith is one half of the pop duo and has kept in the spotlight but headed for the stage securing roles in pantomimes alongside solo music goals.
He also landed a touring role with 'That's Entertainment and performing alongside artists such as Jane McDonald & The Overtones.
But his passion for music saw him return with a debut solo single Turn Me On in 2016.
His other releases including Magic which reached number 29 on the UK iTunes dance singles chart and a cover of Verona which charted in 12 countries.
Sean is back with a new label and shared with fans on Twitter his news.
In a video he appears from a luxury Mexico setting he asks followers: "Are you ready for some new music from me in 2022?
But the latest release is worlds away from his pop past as his new album is covers of classic 90s songs in a swing style.
And it's not just his music has changed, followers noted his much altered physical appearance as he shared shirtless shorts of his toned physique working on the shoreline.
His new album Swing For The 90s is released on April 16.
Sarah's opted to inspire others with her infectious bubbly personality and established her own dance performing arts school in her home town of Portsmouth.
She has also got married, now goes by Sarah Wilson, and become a mum, she has also found her feet as principal and owner of her now thriving dance academy SD Dance.
Sharing on her website she penned: “I absolutely adore teaching the children that come through the doors at SD Studios. I started a Dance School because I love to nurture talent and to see them grow into wonderful performers. I feel like SD Studios is more of a family than a business and I adore working alongside families to unlock their children’s potential.
Although she did pair up with her bro for a one-off charity single with all proceeds going towards the COVID-19 Urgent Appeal.
The single "One Life, One Love" was released through SP Music on 3 August and featured the students of SD Studios.
And the duo haven't lost their fun loving side as they sent pupils into a spin when recreated the hilarious 'Routine' from TV show Friends which was of course performed by onscreen siblings Monica and Ross.

The award-winning international phenomenon THE X FACTOR is back. In Season Three of the hit competition series hosted by Mario Lopez, THE X FACTOR judges will travel the nation searching for talent 12 years old or over -- both solo artists and vocal groups -- who are willing to brave the panel for a chance to make their dreams of becoming a superstar come true. Auditions for THE X FACTOR were held this spring in Los Angeles, CA; Charleston, SC; New Orleans, LA; Long Island, NY; and Denver, CO.
Contestants will audition in front of THE X FACTOR judges, including Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland, Paulina Rubio, and an audience of thousands. This will be the ultimate test to prove they have the vocal ability, charisma and stage presence it takes to become a global superstar or breakout music act and win a recording contract with Syco/Sony Music.
Those contestants who survive the first auditions will be divided into four categories: Boys, Girls, Over 25s and Groups. Each category will be mentored by one of the show's judges. Not only is it a competition between the hopefuls to stake their claim for the coveted win, but it's also a showdown among the judges as to whose acts will dominate the competition and make it to the finals. The judges may have their say in how the competition progresses, but it will be up to America to decide who ultimately has THE X FACTOR.
