The Tru By Hilton Amarillo West is conveniently located near I-40 in an area with lots of restaurants. The hotel was nice and had a fairly good buffet breakfast but the room was a little small. There was free parking right in front and there were luggage racks and elevators.

We stayed one night traveling through I40. The hotel was very nice and clean. The lobby was very nice and welcoming. We used Hilton app so we did not even go by the front desk coming in or leaving. The breakfast was very nice. Not that we cared but I don't think they have a pool. Great location off I40.

Let me start with the positives – room was relatively clean except one dead roach under the bathroom sink. Bed slept comfortably. Did have a small refrigerator. Front desk was Plesent and friendly. Nice shower with cute soap dispensers. Negatives- no microwave, no coffee maker. The closet was a pipe coming out of the wall and some hooks. Room is so small that if you have anybody over for drinks they really don’t have a place to sit unless you sit on the bed. The ice machine is only on the first floor so if you want to make drinks be sure and get ice before you go up to your room.

Hotel was clean and quiet. Rooms are very small, not bad for one night. Wall AC unit was functional, but loud. Lobby was welcoming with convenient ice machine, coffee and tea available all day, along with snacks for purchase. Pool table was being used by guests, and complimentary breakfast looked decent.

Fast, easy check in ! Great beds , cold rooms & hot showers ! Whoohoo! This location in Amarillo is fantastic ! Rebecca at front desk was super !! Very clean and organized ! They even sell beer ! Full snack and drinks for sale also .

This was my first time to stay at a Tru by Hilton and I was impressed. Very hip decor and small but thoughtfully appointed room—and the amenities had personality! 😁 Free breakfast was excellent too!!

This was par for the course for a Tru by Hilton. Dependable. Clean...sort of trendy decor and lobby...but in a desolate location so if you have to go through the Pan Handle of Texas...this will do. Snacks in lobby...pool table, etc. About the same as the other Tru by Hilton. This one was pet friendly...

LARGE room lacking furniture, clean, comfortable bed, tasty breakfast, nice grounds and pool. New owner/manager listened to concerns and I am confident changes will be made. The room was HOT when we arrived with no A/C running - it was well into the night before it cooled off enough to be comfortable. Small details like no toilet paper holder, and blinking message light on phone were annoying.
Room Tip: The back side is very quiet.

Nice, bright and clean. The room is sufficient for a short stay, maybe like a business traveler. It has been good for us while we are displaced from our home for repairs, but for extended stay, it wasn't designed for that. Everyone one is staff is super nice, very friendly and helpful. Everyone with Tru uniform on, speaks to us and wants to accommodate our needs. Highly recommend staying here.

I really liked this hotel and while we were there as a quick stop on our way to a final destination, it was reasonable, clean, well-appointed, and great if you travel with your dogs, like we do. Bonus: our dogs stayed free! It's modern and minimal, but perfect if you are only there for a short stay. The mattresses were comfortable, the staff was friendly, and they serve an adequate breakfast.

A financial firm CEO was killed along with three others when a small plane that he was flying crashed shortly after takeoff in Georgia, according to reports.
Jonathan Rosen, 47, the chief executive of Entaire Global Companies, was the pilot of the single-engine Cessna P210N when it went down and burst into flames Friday afternoon at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport, FOX 5 of Atlanta reported.
None of the passengers survived the crash.
The victims were identified as Rosen, his 14-year-old relative, the teen’s friend, and another family friend, the outlet reported.
Video shows flames consuming the aircraft as witnesses look on in horror.
“It crashed, it landed, and I don’t know if it was just a hard landing but it flipped and then it caught fire,” photographer Keith Berry, who witnessed the crash, told the outlet.
“It happened pretty fast. And the fire, it turned over and smoked for a second, and engulfed in flames.”
No cause has been released for the crash.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board have launched an investigation.
