Former WWE wrestler Paige, whose rise to stardom is the focus of a new biopic produced by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson , is opening up about the illegal publication of a sex tape that left her feeling like she had hit "rock bottom."

In 2017, Paige — whose real name is Saraya-Jade Bevis — had private intimate videos posted online by hackers, a traumatic incident that left her experiencing stress-induced anorexia and alopecia , according to the New York Post .

"To be publicly humiliated like that was terrible," the British wrestler told the news outlet. "I don't wish that for anyone."

The hacking came a year after she was suspended twice by the WWE for testing "positive for an illegal substance," and the series of events caused her to retreat from her daily activities.

"I didn't go to work; I didn't do anything," Paige told the Post, adding that she experienced depression at the time. "I felt so rock bottom."

Now, the 26-year-old is looking forward to the release of Fighting With My Family , a movie that chronicles how Paige became one of WWE's top wrestling stars after getting her start thanks to her family of wrestling enthusiasts.

But the movie also shows the drama that happened behind the scenes, namely how Paige made it to the WWE, while her brother — another wrestler — did not.

"Success isn't measured by how many cameras you're in front of," Paige said of her brother, who now trains wrestlers. "It's a success story to be at home with a family and to have a job where you're helping people. They shouldn't measure success on how famous you are."

Fighting With My Family also features a cameo from Johnson, who serves as a producer on the film through his Seven Bucks Production company.

" In 2012 I watched a documentary about a young, unknown British female pro wrestler & her wonderfully crazy and loving wrestling family," Johnson, 46, wrote on Instagram of his inspiration to make Paige's life into a movie. "I loved it and instantly identified with her and her family — because it reminded me of MY wonderfully, loving and f------ crazy wrestling family. Many of you know my history."

While speaking to the Post , Paige said that when she felt she had reached her lowest point, she was lifted up by a young fan she ran into at a grocery store in Texas.

"Of course, she didn't have the internet and thought I was the most beautiful and most successful woman in the world," Paige said of the fan, who was about 7 years old. "It opened my eyes to so many things. I was like, 'I'm gonna let videos get in the way of things?'"

She continued to the outlet: "I thought, what am I doing? I need to be successful for her. My whole journey was supposed to be about inspiring people."

The WWE universe has been left stunned after a series of explicit photos and video of WWE Diva Paige was leaked on social media
XAVIER WOODS appeared on Monday Night Raw only days after a sex tape was leaked that is believed to show him romping with WWE Diva Paige.
And it's fair to say he was looking somewhat sheepish after the revelation that has shocked the WWE universe.
The cameras cut to the New Day backstage, with Big E on the far right giving a misgiving look towards Xavier Woods, who was in the centre.

On the left was their team-mate Kofi Kingston.
As the crowd go wild when the group feature, Big E asks Woods: "Is there something you want to tell us about?"
But Woods takes time to consider his options, before leaping into action with a spiel about Wrestlemania, and how "excited" they are to be hosts for the mega event.
SunSport reported at the weekend how British WWE star Paige confirmed she was the victim of a sex tape which has been leaked online.
She claims that her phone was hacked after explicit images surfaced over the weekend.
Queen of the ring Paige, a former two-time Divas champion, tweeted: “Personal and private photos of mine were stolen and unfortunately they were shared publicly without my consent.”
A string of videos have appeared of the Norfolk-born 24-year-old, including one with two separate male wrestlers.
One video features Paige performing a solo act with a sex toy, another engaging in oral sex, while there are at least three other videos in which she is seen having sex with men, one of which appears to be Xavier Woods.

A series of photos and videos have been released on social media, without her consent, that have stunned the WWE universe
WWE fans have been left outraged after a photo emerged that appears to show a sex act performed over the NXT Champion belt and two-time Divas champion Paige.
On the day that explicit images of the wrestler, real name Saraya-Jade Bevis, were leaked on to social media, one image in particular has attracted the most attention.
It appears to show Paige in shot with the women's title beside her face in the aftermath of a sex act being carried out.

It has led to people on Twitter saying things such as "the belt should be burned," "a new belt is needed" and they hope "no-one has kissed that belt".
The 24-year-old has also been blasted "for desecrating WWE property" following the photo being circulated online.
Paige claims that her phone was hacked after explicit images surfaced in the last 24 hours.
Queen of the ring Paige, a former two-time Divas champion, tweeted: “Personal and private photos of mine were stolen and unfortunately they were shared publicly without my consent.”
A string of videos have appeared of the Norfolk-born 24-year-old, including one with two separate male wrestlers.
Other images show her flashing and posing in selfies taken in the bathroom.
Paige is engaged to ex-WWE star Alberto Del Rio, having jumped into the ring and proposed in October of last year.
In August WWE suspended her 30 days for a violation of the company’s anti-drugs wellness policy.
At the end of September the two-time Divas queen claimed she was going in to have neck surgery.
But, on October 10, the company suspended her for another 60 days for a second wellness policy violation and she hit out claiming WWE treat certain stars differently depending on their popularity.
WWE could now take action against the Brit.

More explicit footage of former WWE star Paige has been leaked online.
A new clip showing the retired wrestler performing sex acts with Xavier Woods, former WWE wrestler Brad Maddox and a third, unidentified man has been circulating online, according to Ringside News .
This isn't the first time Paige has found herself the victim of revenge porn. In 2017 another sexual video was stolen and shared online.

After the leak , the Norwich, England-native suffered stress-induced anorexia and baldness.
She opened up about the leak, saying: 'That scarred me. People invading my privacy, to the point where sometimes I don't want to go out.'
Paige elaborated further during the Chasing Glory With Lilian Garcia podcast: 'When they came out I barricaded myself in the house for a couple of months. I was so sad to the point I was contemplating suicide.'
The wrestler hasn't yet addressed the most recent leak.

Paige, born Saraya-Jade Bevis on August 17, 1992, is an English former WWE wrestler. She was forced to quit after she was injured during a six-woman tag team match involving Sasha Banks in New York.
Describing the incident recently, Paige recalled losing feeling in her limbs when the injury occurred. She feared that she had been paralyzed.
Speaking with the Edge and Christian podcast, she remembered the frightening moments after getting hurt, at which time she tried to walk off her injury.
'So I'm like "no, I'm going to keep going",' she said. 'And I remember trying to grab Sasha's legs and my arms felt like there was just no bones in them you know.'

Paige went on: 'So I'm trying to grab her legs and then like, "Wait let me try to stand up and then I'll be good to do the comeback".
'Sasha is like, "Noooooo, absolutely not".
'Then I tried to stand up and I just look drunk like I just start stumbling and falling back'.
In April 2018, after being seen by medical professionals who assessed her injury fully, Paige retired from the ring.
She now works as a SmackDown general manager.
Over the weekend, a new sex tape starring Paige, Xavier Woods, Brad Maddox and another man leaked online. The footage has been circulating since.
Although Paige has been active on Twitter in the last few days, she hasn't addressed it.
Paige has been taking a lot of flack from fans online following the leak of a sex tape in which she's seen engaging in sex acts.
Citing the WWE's refusal to induct late female wrestler Chyna into the WWE Hall of Fame because she appeared in Playboy, several wrestling fans expressed the opinion that the organization would be hypocritical to keep Paige on.
