World of Defish Lifetime Recap
Defish Team
Ahoy, Captains 🐳
The sages of the Seas often say, “If you wish to know your future, look upon your past.” Today we want to make a recap of everything that happened to us during the game’s lifetime and celebrate the progress we’ve made throughout the past 2 years.

First off, the game launch. We’re not going to lie, it was a very challenging experience. Due to the war that started in our country on 24 Feb 2022, we had to take care of our team’s safety and stability while doing everything in our power to bring the Public Beta and the eventual release to you as soon as possible.
Looking back after all this time, we want to thank the members of our early team for making our common dream real no matter the challenges we encountered. And we also want to thank you for not giving up on us even in the darkest times.

Next stop: Collections and Defish Boxes. Throughout the years we have released 4 Equipment and Fish Collections. Our visuals team created a unique design style for each collection and made each NFT item to be not just an item you use in the game, but a collectable piece of artwork you can enjoy keeping in your collection.

Throughout the years we have made countless updates to ensure the game’s economy and gameplay are well-balanced and fun to interact with. Just after the release of the game in April 2022 we’ve determined our goal to make the game free from gas fees and give you an immersive gameplay experience with no interruptions.
Our unique strategy, taking the best from both the Blockchain and Off-Chain, was implemented in several stages, starting from Fishing Sessions and finishing with the final launch of our Off-Chain Marketplace. Through these steps, we have created a one-of-a-kind Defish ecosystem that makes your interaction with the game wholesome and smooth. And our ecosystem, like any other, started growing and expanding exponentially.

Moving forward, we released Tower Defish. The whole development process and history of the project deserves a post of its own, and the amount of work we’ve put into this game is unmeasurable. Throughout the development process we’ve encountered countless glass walls, limiting our capabilities to make our vision real. This mostly concerns the ecosystem and WOD and TD connectivity, which is complicated by mobile app stores (Apple’s one in particular) and their strict rules about monetization and commissions. Though we couldn’t implement all of our ideas into the game (YET), we are happy about the final result and will continue to work on perfecting all of the game’s mechanics and making it even more enjoyable for all players.
The connectivity between two of our games remains our development priority and we’ve already made enormous efforts to make it real without the need to restrict our users to only one platform. And just like with any challenge we saw on our way throughout these 2 years, we will find a way to make it happen.

Both WOD and TD have already experienced a great number of events, new content and lifetime support and this will continue to happen going forward, from small holiday celebrations with extra loot to major tournaments with treasures awaiting their claimants.
And this is the point where we need to take into account how long we’ve been here. WOD has released on April 14 2022 and we’re still on board. More than that, the game continues to expand and grow with updates, balance recalibrations, new content and even new game in the same setting for a new audience. We feel like it’s a great result for a P2E game especially judging by how hard the past few years were for the crypto market in general. And seeing how the market climate starts to rapidly change for the better, we know that the best times are still ahead of us.
We thank you for your unyielding support and care for our projects, this was the main source of our inspiration and determination. The winds of change are coming, Captains, be ready to embrace them!
