World Taekwondo Federation to Help Refugees Wins Peace and Sports Awards



World Taekwondo Federation Coordinator President



The World Taekwondo Federation WT won the Combat Sports Initiative of the Year award at the Peace and Sports Awards 2023 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.


The World Taekwondo Federation has been recognized for carrying out free Taekwondo education support projects for refugee camps and children affected by natural disasters around the world.


Earlier this year, the federation held a multi-sports festival at refugee camps in Jordan and Syria with the Taekwondo Fraternity Foundation THF and the World Baseball Softball Federation WBSC.


At that time, more than 300 people, including the Afghan refugee team, participated in the event, drawing attention from all over the world.
